If the fan motor is free and you can hear it humming or trying to start. Have someone at the thermostat, give the motor a good spin and while the fan is spinning have your helper slide the t'stat fan switch from auto to on. If the motor starts and runs your problem is the fan capacitor.

1. Remove the shroud on the A/C unit. 2. Try to spin the fan. If it won't or is very hard to turn; bearings are locked - new motor. If it spins free and easy, You need to see if there is voltage at the motor. If it turns with some resistance; the bearings have gotten dry and a drop if oil will help. RV A/C units use fan motors have oil impregnated bronze bearings that tend to get stiff when used infrequently and are of motor type that has low starting torque.
