If you live in the 91722-91723-91724 area codes in California, beware that the city fathers are at it again. They are having a hearing on May 6th on parking regulation for your RV. "No parking in front of a structure and the curb on your lot".
For more information call Rich @ 626-332-2092 This notice is on the Good Sam web site, but this is the just of it.

I posted to bring this situation to light as I did on other forums I belong to, thats of concern to our freedoms.(forgot California does not have freedoms) Your right, area should have been ZIP, But the best of it is IT got your attention, thanks for that. As in my area (surrounding locations) and yours, alot of people are not informed as to the happenings of the governments new proposed regulation and how it effects us all.
(Enjoy your Smog and dry rain free weather you forgot to list that to.)

You have opened a favorite can of worms there Brooks... Illegals are tolerated far too often, Despite federal laws that say you can't hire them many employers openly do so. One of the biggest violators: Casinos.

I won't say more.

Now I'll just step off my soapbox and leave all to their opinions. :?

I have to agree, as a native Californian I resent this and this is just plane wrong.
Yes we are proud of our State even with all it's warts, I have never seen anyone bash all the other states as they have ours. I would never bash another state. That is just very philistine of those that do.
This has,as often it does, denigrated to a bash California thread, with no real valid disscusion going on. Why has this gone on so much and the Mods have not stepped in and closed this bashing thread is beyond me. :R

I don't understand the gist of you post? Was it to bring to light the up coming parking regulation. If it was, these zip codes are not the only places that have that kind of parking restrictions. So why not include all zip codes in this discusion or generalize about the parking restriction, as a whole, and not singling out just California.

We Californians are just as proud of our state as anyone else is of theirs. I would expect all would defend the place that they choose to reside. Uh, AREA codes are 3 digit.. Did you mean ZIP codes? (Those are CA Zip Codes).

It is not always the City Fathers,, They listen to folks who talk to them like the campground owners assn.. A member of which is Affinity, Guess Who owns these forums.
And exactly how many campgrounds are in these zip codes versus how many residents with streets? I don't think the grand "campground owners rule the world" conspiracy is very valid here.
Got a few minutes and looked it up. Those Zip codes are for Covina, California. There are exactly ZERO campgrounds in those zip codes. Maybe the people of Covina just don't want their streets congested with parked RVs. Since there are no local campgrounds, there would be zero reason for a campground owner's association to be involved.

Personally I would like to be able to discuss the actual topic that the OP alluded to. Just Me can you or someone else please post a link or actual wording for the regulation so we can at least know what we should be discussing.

In the meantime I've got to head back out to sit by the pool and discuss whether we want to go skiing or surfing tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

We really love having people in Utah helping us in California - NOT. Are you really that bored that you have to start a rant about something happening many hundreds of miles away?

Many people use the city streets as their own personal parking lot and I am glad when the local officials enforce the ordinances. Unfortunate that some people are so lacking in consideration that the ordinances are needed in the first place.

Anyone who thinks this applies only to California is extremely uninformed and naive. Time maybe to get out more.

I for one hate living in California and having the ocean with free beaches 10 minutes from my house. It is awful. Even worse with the weather being bright and sunny and 71 degrees. Not sure I can survive this much longer.

Again you failed to research the topic! Los Angeles has less smog than Salt Lake! Also So. Ca. is desert, we don't shovel snow & camp year around!

Let this be a lesson to everyone who doesn't live in CA, do not post anything that could impact the RV community in CA because you will be told to mind your own business for trying to be helpful.

If you hear of any of this happening in Ontario Canada feel free to post it up. I narrowly missed getting hit with that hammer last year. They have an 18' limit just 1 mile from my house.

Why is someone from Canada worried about parking rules in another country? NONE of your business! Stop your bashing!

This post has nothing to do with helping California people. It and the posters' responses are just plain BASHING California and its people. Hope you stay at your wonderful screwed up state of UTAH! Your kind of so called help is not needed. By the way, what is this,"the city fathers are at it again". At what again?

I thought political threads were banned. :?

If I so much as use the word 'Congress' in a post it is deleted and I get a nasty note from the mods.

Yet entire threads bashing a state and insulting its residents and government is allowed to remain.
