Amateur Full timer here. Have a 2016 Coachman Chaparral. I have never used the Dinning room table but to throw things on for a few minutes.. I was wanting to take it out and dispose of it.. Utilize the extra space..Pros and cons please.. I know resale But I can always buy a cheapo from Walmart and put it back in if I trade or sell..
Thanks

I am going to ASSUME that you are a full-timer and you don't have the storage space to just store the table, but, if I didn't use it, I would definitely get rid of it. Put in a desk, a recliner, a bookshelf, some other storage, or whatever. If and when the time comes to sell it, get you a cheapo from a big box store and put back in it. If you advertise it locally, you could probably get $100 or so for it. Put in Facebook classifieds, craigslist or whatever is appropriate for wherever you are.

Part of the question is how long to do intend to keep this rv, is resale in issue? Are you going to have grandkids staying with or guests. We use ours more to play cards or board games at than eating.

Removing the table part of a dinette is typically very simple and straightforward and non-invasive; likewise reinstalling it would be straightforward. Removing the benches is usually a bit more involved (and sometimes there are mechanical systems or outside storage compartments hidden in them, which can make removal more problematic).

If it's not a dinette but a separate table and chairs, I'd think removal just means carrying it out the door, possibly after removing the table legs. Putting it back for resale or whatever should be just as easy. If you aren't using it and have a better idea for the space, I don't see any reason at all not to proceed.

If you do not use it for dining, the only downside is the resale. Depending on how long you intend to keep it would determine (to me) what to do with the table. Personally I would store it and put it back in before selling as I think that would be better resale wise than a "cheapo from Walmart".

We have a 2013 Chaparral. We removed our tables and chairs and put a dinnette booth in. Gives me extra storage under the seats as well as easy to put table down or remove.
I use the table more for my computer then anything else.
