Here in Wa alot of our interstate rest stops have rv dump stations. Is this true with other states? Know of a state that doesn't?

I know of ONE in Montana, at the Clearwater Junction rest area on MT 200.
But I haven't taken that route in years, so I don't know if it is still open.
I don't know of any dump stations on our three Interstate Highways.

This week we've seen a TT using the dump station at the Louisiana rest are on I-55 at the state border with Mississippi, and also seen a dump station at the Louisiana I-10 rest area near the east border with Mississippi.

Didn't see any on I-20 though.

Also saw dump stations at the state tourism sites in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida on I-10 this week.

That is more common around New England than a person might think. I think part of it is reducing rest areas costs -- some places look like they used to have toilets, but not anymore.

What "gets my goat" are these non-toilet rest areas that also have big signs saying "No Overnighting" and/or "No Sleeping"... no toilets, and no napping? What is the purpose of that rest area then??

Oh, and as to dump stations in rest areas - I find them to be almost non-existent in New England. There is usually a State Park or campground that you can dump at not too far from the highway... for a fee, of course!

Louisiana does not have any dump stations at our rest areas. Matter of fact, on the I-20 corridor we only have 3 rest areas statewide. The state tore down 3 and left 3.

Add West Virginia to your list. They keeph them locked but most seem happy to accommodate those in need and unlock the cap. You just have to find an attendant and be patient.

I would say, from experience, that not ALL rest stops in Oregon have them. In fact, I only know of 3....though will keep my eye out in the future. ๐Ÿ™‚ Quite frankly, I've found there are rest stops that don't even have RESTROOMS!!!!!!! Now THAT surprised me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Just my take, drove down I-5 last month WA to AZ.

OR...Didn't see any at rest stops, but they were glad to post a sign to direct you to closet state park, but might be 20 miles away

CA...far and few in between until SO CA

We're pretty good in WA state with the amount of them. It is added to you lic fee, couple 3 bucks I think.

Somewhere on here, someone posted not only what states had them for public use but also had L&L for them. Tried a search to find post but stuck out.

We used to in Texas but I have not seen one in several years at any of the new, larger rest stops. There might be some, but I haven't seen them.
