Touchy subject - proper toilet paper for black tank

I hope this is the appropriate spot to post this. If not, mods please move or delete if it's too touchy.

I'm wondering if there's a consensus on the best toilet paper to use for our black tanks? I'm planning to stock up for a long trip.

I've heard anecdotally that the Kirkland house brand is good, but I don't know if that's accurate. At home, I'm a believer in Charmin heavy-duty.

The parameters are:

Since Northern tp showed a failing to disintegrate in my home sewer system, I figured it would be likely to catch on the vavles, etc, in the RV. So, I wouldn't recommend it.

We don’t put tp in the toilet. We put it in the trash bag and dispose of it in a dumpster. Also we too have no tree roots in the black tank and also none in the septic tank at home.

I have used angel soft and kirkland without issue for years.

Years ago at home I found that Northern TP tended to get caught up on tree roots and wouldn't disintegrate. When I'd have the sewer snaked, it'd pull up roots and TP. Once I changed to angel soft and kirkland, snaking never pulled up tp just roots.

When we use the onboard toilet ( which is infrequently as we prefer to use any facilities where we are camping such as: vault toilet, RV Park toilet, where the bear goes) we put the used toilet paper into a plastic bag; then dispose of in the dumpster…. NO worries about clogged tanks, lines or sensors… And always remember to use LOTS of water when flushing….

It’s not so much what to you choose to use, but how much of it you use per use. If you throw big wads of it down the toilet you may create blockages. Also don’t throw “Butt Wipes” down the toilet.

Though TP is TP not all TP is the same.. Scotts Single Ply is rated Good. Charmin multi-ply quilted is not..
The rating is based on how fast it 'Falls apart' in water.. Even the longer lasting ones by the time I finish up Stand up. Pull up. Zip up. Belt up, exit the RV, walk around to ye old dump valve... No problem.

What did I use for several years without issue *Full timing*
Company called Boxed.com also their url Store brand is Prince and Spring.

NOTE this is a "Big box" store like Sam's or Costco. But it's good quality product and did not cause an issue.. I'm no longer in the RV but I still have nearly a full "Case" of P&S TP in ye old smallest room of my apartment not counting closets.

Single ply Scotts works in my home septic and TT holding tank.

Experiment put a couple of sheets in a glass of water overnight and check the next morning. See for yourself if you'll have issues with TP that doesn't break down.

I buy septic safe Scotts. Not sure why its a touchy subject, the TP you buy in your camper only affects you and your camper. I don't care if you use wet wipes or cardboard... its your potential mess to clean up, not mine.

While I have a brand I look for, I buy whatever is on sale for the cheapest price.
I grab some from home and stock the RV without giving it another thought.
And I don't use any treatment of my black tank, just water.
As above, TP is TP.
Never had a problem, ever.

We have been on septic systems for over 20 years and have never used specific TP at home or in our TTs.

I use Charmin, it does not disintegrate like the over hyped RV toilet paper. And it never causes any problem with the black tank.

It's a holding tank, not a septic tank.
That said, I do use septic safe TP.
I have used non-septic safe TP with no problems.
