Search turned up what I've already got:

Looking for wrench/tool for TV cable that has a collar at the connector nuts. The tool I have won't fit over the collar on the new TV cable I had to get.

If you buy Mediabridge coax, it comes with their "Easy Grip Connector Caps". They are perfect for those recessed connections.

Here's a link to an example of what I'm talking about.

Push on/slip on connectors work well, however,as with most everything these days,
There are good ones and cheap ones.Don't go for the cheapest ones on the rack.

When a push on works well, why should you need a wrench to tighten the screw on type? When I worked with cable tv systems,we were taught that hand tight was good.I do realise that a wrench makes it easier to get them on sometimes.Just no reason to make them super-tight.

Thanks all! I like the idea of the slip-on adapters. If that proves unsat will try one of the wrench/driver recommendations. Part of issue is that the connection on the RV is recessed and I can barely get my fat fingers in to get a good grip on the nut. Radio Shack here I come.

7/16th inch Open End Wrench or metric equivalent will do the job

I actually carry a 7/16-inch wrench on my TRUCK D-RING key chain. Can't count the number of times this has come in handy hehe...

All of my HDTV sets have a short 3-foot RG cable already connected to the back etc. The end of the 3-foot RG cable has one of the radio shack barrel adapters where I make my connections... Much easier to have it all in front of you to work on it...

We always bring along a second 25-foot RG cable and two port splitter transformer with short 6-inch RG cable for hooking up to the camp ground PEDESTAL CABLE connections. One 25-foot RG cable goes to my trailer CABLE Connector and the second 25-foot RG Cable goes under the trailer and is available to use for bringing our HDTV outside to set under the PATIO awning to watch sitting around the camp fire.

That is a wrench made for brass compression fittings so that you don.t round off the brass fittings with an open end wrench.

I know exactly what you want but can't tell you where to find it. It's a plastic handle on a 1/8" steel rod with essentially a 7/16 open end on it. Those collars on both F and some BNC are a PITA in limited access area. The BNC tools are made by Trompeter.

I believe you may be referring to a "flare nut wrench" commonly used in plumbing and automotive applications.

See if these are what you are looking for;

Flare nut wrenches

In reality any ordinary 7/16 open end wrench would suit your purpose.

Never seen that type of connector. Give more info about your connector. What is it for?

Add a standard open end 7/16" wrench to the mix as well.

I use the push on. They work great. Plus if I am parked along side of you in an RV park and hear you grumbing I will give you a couple. Pass out a few and loose a few on every trip.

The fitting, BTW, takes a 7/16 wrench.
