I'm currently reading Huckleberry Finn. Haven't read it since I was a kid and, no surprise, it's a lot more complex than I remembered :). And a good traveling book!

Also highly recommended, from my just-finished pile, Motoring with Mohammed. It's nothing about war -- it's a travelogue from the 80s, about Yemen. Beautifully written.

We have been traveling these past 6 weeks. Many times camping in Florida state parks without wifi or only wifi hotspots. I have not been able to keep up with this topic which I really enjoy. I saw some Parker books recently posted so wanted to share a book I read ,while on the road, for any Parker fans. It is called In Pursuit of Spenser : Mystery writers on Robert B. Parker and the Creation of an American Hero. Edited by Otto Penzler. It's a collection of essays from other mystery authors who knew and/or were influenced by Robert B. Parker. It is a fascinating read about the real Robert B Parker.

I love that series. I have also read all of her Alaska series about dog musher and racer Jessie Arnold. I learned so much about dogsled racing that I never knew or even knew that I was interested in. Now I watch the Iditarod every year. There is also a series about Jessie's trooper boyfriend, Alex Jensen, but I like the Jessie Arnold one better.
