I drove 2000 miles round trip. Gotta do what you gotta do if you want to save the bucks.
And when something goes wrong that you can't repair yourself you get to drive that 2000 miles again to get someone to do it.

Sometimes it's difficult to find MSRP. Dealers will just quote you a price with options listed. Try and get a quote that has the manufacturers MSRP listed and the dealer just checks off the options and totals the quote price to you. You may need to email a few dealers to get this type of a quote.
The last two new trailers we bought I used the MSRP less 3-% to negotiate a final price.
BTW, some dealers add prep charges some don't- find out!!
Happy trails,

Folks I used all the advice I could gather and saved my friends 17000, which pleased them and me. Granted we had to drive 300 miles to get the trailer. But the savings easily overshadowed fuel.

At least I am now armed with some knowledge as I am helping friends negotiate a new tt. Flexibility is a definite need.
