So we are fortunate enough to keep our TT in our backyard and every single time I go out there to work on it I end up turning the TV on and falling asleep.

Eventually the wife will come out and ask what I am doing.....and just shake her head 😉

Is it just me or is your camper secretly turning you into Rip Van Winkle also?

It's great having the RV right outside the door, mine doesn't necessarily put me to sleep, but it does relax me, somehow though, it always ends up involving beer, with an old movie in the dvd player, and a bag of popcorn in the Microwave. Funny how that works like that. :h :B

Tuesday afternoon is floor cleaning day and I can either go shopping or nap in the 5er....mostly I nap.

Apparently, I do not know the correct protocol for cleaning a floor, in-spite of 30 years of GI parties in the Army. Or maybe it is when I point out how she is doing it wrong.....

My 'C' came with a terrible mattress. I wouldn't make my dog sleep on it - if I had a dog. Bought a mattress from "The Original Mattress Factory". Now I sleep like a baby, except I don't wet the bed or cry all night.

Short story.. Years ago (Daughter was still in diapers. As is her son today many years ago) I bought and old and somewhat abused PUP.. took it camping and shortly after bought a campground membership.. Now therein lies a very long story which I'll omit.

But my first night in the membership campground.. I pulled in, Did not have to get money out of my walled. We set up and I got the best night's sleep I'd had in YEARS.

Yup Campers are magic.. I no longer sleep that well due to the ravages of age and assorted medical conditions.. But I sleep a whole lot better than I would in a Sticks and Bricks.

Turniung on the TV can put me out though Mind numbing programming if I do not choose carefully.

When I had mine parked at home during the winter months it "kept my sanity"! :B

I'd go out there on the dreary days of winter up North and walk thru it telling her "soon, soon we will be on the road again".

So I am glad I am not the only one. It has become a get away spot/man-cave.
We bought it about 6 weeks ago and were only able to take it out once before parking and winterizing, I am just glad it is here to fiddle with.

Always something to upgrade or organize, but it doesnt seem like work...more like a project...a fun project.

The nice thing is the more I fiddle, the more I learn about it, and of course reading everything here has helped immensely

Yes, the "Man Cave". My definition would be a place where a man.....can be a man.....and if you don't have a basement to remodel...... Then the TT will do just fine. 🙂

Fortunate to keep mine at the house also and yes, its my get away place. Turn on the radio and do what ever I want, from nothing to a little cleaning/organizing and you got it, a nap once in a while. With the weather getting colder the fridge will be emptied and the man cave left till spring. Well, might have to go down to FL. maybe in the middle of winter.

I use mine here at the house all the time. Always doing something in it...

I am truly blessed to be able to have it here at the house...

I have a brother-in law that keeps his TT in his yard permanently. Always stocked with beer. He uses it daily.

Ours is parked at home also and we sleep in it almost every night. Not EVERY, almost every. When sleeping in the camper, we both sleep like rocks in a cave. When in the house, we toss and turn half the night, loose sleep, and have a hard time even getting to sleep (like a rock being spewed out of a volcano!). We noticed, even our dog sleeps better in the camper. I think there's just something very comforting and a safe, nice secure feeling in the camper. Plus, we don't hear all the "house" sounds in the camper. We ALWAYS sleep well in the camper, much better than the house. It's just a very peaceful experience!

Unfortunately my RV is about 45 miles from home and when I bring it home to load for a trip or do maintenance or repairs, I don't have time to fall asleep.
