When our 14 year old Chihuahua Ricky died 3 weeks ago, our youngest daughter said to watch for a sign from Ricky that he is okay, happy, and no longer in pain. I really didn't think much of it until.....
We had to go back to the vet where Ricky died for our other dog and while waiting I picked up a magazine that had just arrived there. It comes out once a year and was published in August but they just got a stack of them that day. The first page it comes to I look and there is my Ricky (not a picture that looks like Ricky but a real picture of my Ricky). It was taken when he was a puppy and we were coming back from a weekend RV rally. He was lying on his back in my lap, sound asleep and so content. I guess I got my sign. I would like to think that he is letting me know that he is again a puppy, no pain, and peaceful, just as he was that day.

That is really great. It would be nice to know if all our loved ones are safe and if there is really somewhere special they went to where there is happiness and love. I miss my Romeo after 16 years of companionship and love. I am hoping for his ashes to be buried with me so we will be together once again forever.

We had a Manx cat that was about 3 years old when a bear killed him our porch in NC. He was a feral cat from the shelter and lived under our kitchen Hoosier cabinet the first four months with us. I would coax him out with tuna fish and held him and petted him until he calmed down. My DW still swears she occasionally "sees" him in our house we live in in Florida. I don't question it all.
