You need to post year/brand/chassis. If older than 20 years and has a Gas Ford or GM chassis, it probably has aftermarket Cruise and some of those you can adjust the "speed" setting up or down. Doug
When you say you can increase from the "cab" what do you mean????? Do you rotate the left hand turn signal lever??? If so, you have an "Escort " type cruise and the Indent for the 55 mph is set at the control board below the drivers dash by the steering column. This type system is preset for the end button push to engage. The regular setting was for 55 mph (National speed limit back then). You drove 55 mpg and set the end button and then adjusted the wheel adjustment on the main board until it stayed at 55 mph. You then turned the turn signal knob one way to increase your speed and the other way to decrease your speed. Doug
