I'm curious who's installed and used these and what they've thought of it, especially with a smaller (~2000 cal watt) generator.

Here's their videos:

I had thought the small Honda generator was about all I'd likely need until I was shown the compressor startup was just too much for it.

Not only is the light weight appealing, but the quiet running aspect and fuel efficiency.

I put one in my Coleman Mach 15 as it's 61 amp surge was causing my Magnum 3000 inverter to complain. I can say it works very well, dropping startup surge down under 30. It also waits a few seconds so the blower starts first then compressor. My Magnum has no issue starting up the AC on battery if I want.

Was easy to install as they have a video showing it being installed in a Coleman. They seem to claim it would allow a Honda 2000 to start a RV AC, I think it might, unfortunately I don't have my Honda 2000 anymore after getting the RV with its own generator, otherwise I could tell you for sure.

Heh, I can't believe that I watched almost 30 minutes of that video but the guy was interesting for a tech minded person. I'm not an electrician but he sounds convincing to me.
