Nitrogen Tire Top Off Kit

I am in search of a nitrogen topping off kit that could be carried in one's vehicle that could successfully store the unused portion until needed without leaking. We just purchased our DENALI and when checking to find that nitrogen filling stations are few and far between. On several of the web sites, they mention that the CO2 kits would accomplish keeping water out, but they are designed to inflate bicycle tires.

Were you being extremely subtle stating what you think of people who use nitrogen refills, or did you mean "peace"? ๐Ÿ™‚

I am indifferent whether anyone fills their tires with nitrogen or not, but FYI, here is what appears to me to be a scientifically done test that shows a slight advantage to using nitrogen. To each his own ...

Consumer Reports Nitrogen-filled tire test
"... The results show nitrogen does reduce pressure loss over time, but the reduction is only a 1.3 psi difference from air-filled tires ..."

I would only disagree with the inline water filters. They have saved my bacon a couple of times while traveling. The worst was a campground that had just completed an upgrade and did not tell us we were the first folks to visit the new pads. I filled the fresh water and thought nothing more of it. Later the neighbor came by and asked if I had gotten any sand in my system. I looked at the filter and it was almost 1/4 full of sand. My coach was fine and his coach had a fresh water tank full of sand and the water pumps weren't working.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

There are a lot of things people do here that they don't need to that makes them feel good. An RV supply store can't keep black tank treatment on the shelf in high season. Totally unnecessary. Dicor disappears from shelves at a far greater rate than roof leaks occur. Water pressure regulators (WITH gauges), inline water filters, portable black tanks, all items that are typically sold to the somewhat compulsive camper for no good reason. Don't even get me started on blank tank sensor cleaners!

I guess it should be made very clear that there is nothing WRONG with Nitrogen, there's just no advantage to using it over using air. For those who have deep pockets and don't mind paying for unnecessary services Nitrogen might give them some piece of mind or let them tell others what they have and you don't have. That's OK if it makes them feel good.

Non of which has anything to do with the fact that running Nitrogen in tires is a proven (scientifically) scam. Yes, some things are bound to change; others (PT Barnum?) not so much.

After seven PAGES of posts you felt it necessary to belittle the OP's position in a moronic manner. You sure he's allowed to prefer a different colored generator than you chose.
beemerphile1's comment; "The OP seems oblivious to all the evidence given that he is just wasting his money. Oh well, to each their own" is not belittling or moronic in any way. It is simply stating a fact, followed by an acknowledgement that the OP is entitled to do it anyway.:h

I agree. We have all heard about the snake oil salesman...Nitrogen is Snake Gas.

Well,, you can build your own Nitrogen top off kit.. Yeah, I bought a three gallon portable compressed air tank from Harbor Freight, I use a regular air compressor.
Now, this is very simple, and basic. We all know that the air your breath,,Yes that right,, inhale deeply,,now exhale, that air. Contains 21% oxygen, 78% Nitrogen, and 1% other gasses! (depending on dinner)!
Nitrogen is a thinner gas than Oxygen!
So, if you just turn the portable air tank upside down and bleed off about 20% of the contents, then fill again and do that for about four rotations of fill, bleed fill, you will wind up with a 98% Nitrogen tank,,and thus have a Nitrogen refill kit!!

If, you have a difficult time with this, just PM me and I will sell you a modified air tank with the fill valve on the bottom (I purchased 100 of these from the UK)! Also,, these tanks come in the Nitrogen Green color so they do not get mixed with the regular (USA) tanks!

And this is important to you, why?

Next thing will be why the color of his generator is wrong. :B

Wake up on the wrong side of bed today? Maybe someone pissed in your cheerios? Where did I say it was important to me?

I'm amazed that so many people fall for snake oil salesmen when the evidence is contrary.

AND!
WAIT!
THAT'S NOT ALL!

Read PT BARNUM'S story. Me I'll stick with dehumidified air and risk my life by not taking Supplememt Q which is ineffective if not grown at altitude in Nepal and harvested only during the last quarter of the moon and utterly useless if not energized by genuine Black Sea Salt from the Ndhorskiy formation at midnight sharp...

Zzzzzz...
