I have a 2011 Keystone Cougar 27ft 1/2 ton travel trailer. I have a FLOWJET 2.9 water pump and every time I turn on any of the faucets the pump starts makes a growling/rattling noise and it does not stop until I shut off the Fawcett. RV center checked and said they could not find a problem with the pump and even put a piece of carpet under the pump to see if it helps and it is still very noisy. Anyone else having a problem or all suggestions welcome. Thank you.
Noisy is normal. If you mite be talking "pump chatter" from a partially open faucet, adding one of these will stop that.

Loud pump is very subjective. I have a sure flow and it does make some noise, but I really wouldn't want it any quieter as I then wouldn't know if it was continuing to run because I was low on water or there was a problem. JMO.

I never fail, I just succeed in finding out what doesn't work
Our pump has this type of problem when the pump is sucking air trapped in the inlet line. The inlet line has a vertical component and if and when we allow the fresh water tank to go empty we have to then get rid of the inlet column of air. The get rid of the inlet column of air we open up 2 or more taps and allow the pump to go full out. The resulting flow rate will overcome and swallow up the column or air.
Lots of previous posts. Search this Forum for `pump' then search the results for `noisy' or `loud' etc. If you search for `noisy water pump' there will only be four posts because very few posts have that exact phrase.
