Shore Power Charging issue

Hello,

Just recently had a new WFCO-8935 charge controller installed. The issue I am having is I plug in, I have power, but the system won't charge until after I pull the Overload 40 amp fuse out and place the same one back in. Like resetting the machine.

Is it possible something is not wired correctly? I know the place we went to installed out Solar charger wrong by wiring direct to the battery, and not to the shunt.

Could this be the same issue I am having with the WFCO 8935? If so which wore would go to the shunt?

Thanks,

Cliff

Verify that the polarity to the 12 volt DC distribution panel and the solar is the same. You should pull the main fuse from the DC panel. Make sure the two reverse polarity fuses are good. Test with meter or replace

Replaced full assembly as the stock charge in the Scamp won't push out enough power to charge to 100%.

Thanks,

Check the output voltage of the WFCO direct on the wires that emerge from the converter. You should see 13.6 volts minimum. You may need to disconnect the wires to verify you are reading converter voltage not the battery or solar voltage that could be higher. Post the results.

Battery at time of plug in was 87%

We have installed 2 each Battle Born 100 ah batteries,a victron Solar controller, and Battery Monitor, along with the WF-8935.

I'm not exactly happy with the install folks at this time, knowing that they didn't wire the solar controller properly.

What is the condition of your battery? If it is already fully charged perhaps your new controller is smart enough not to start a charge cycle again?
