Got a friend looking at a cherry 2014 one owner with 6k miles gmc 2500 Denali 4x4 2500HD. Yep top of the line, older couple owned with everything. Bought and sold at the same dealership so the miles are accurate. Anyway I know the 2015 was a new design but has the same drivetrain. I just don't recall any major issues with this truck and didn't know if there was any issues? The 2014 was the last year of that current style but he liked my truck and it looks just like it other then the color. I am looking for anything that he should watch out for if anything. Thanks guys.... And yes if I had the money I would be getting this thing, but they want 59k....ouch......to much for my wallet....
A truck, a camper, a few toys, but most importantly a wonderful family.

I bought a 15 Denali 3500 dually, Duramax, 4X4 for less than $57K new. I know the new ones have gone up and along with it the used ones, but, my gosh, that is a bit stout. I must admit my GMC did hold it's value very well when I traded for my new Ford. The real dollar trade price was only a couple thousand less than I felt I could have sold it for myself. I saw it listed on the dealer's website for $52K. It did have 41K miles on it but was in super shape and also had some nice upgrades like a bed cover and Titan 60 gallon fuel tank.

Glad he moved on.

Thanks guys, I heard from him today and the bank basically laughed. So he's on to another search, I suspect he will pick up possibly a Ford with the 6.7 that he spoke about last week. That dealer wants that truck to move. Thanks again.

Just did a quick check online and found two brand new left over fully loaded 2017 Denalis for $59,262. $59K for one that's 4 years old does seem a little high even though it has super low miles.
Priced a 2018 same package online and seems to be around 69-70K.

I bought our 2015.5 duramax cc 4x4 sb denali brand new with every option including extra color paint and optional wheels, sunroof etc. but no rear seat entertainment and paid 58K. I think he is asking way to much.

and comparing the 14 to 15 the drivetrain etc. is the same, but the body improvements and interior is IMHO a big step up on the 15. and the 15 is much quieter than the 14 on the road.

would be a nice truck if he comes down a bunch.

That is a great truck. I have the same truck but a 2013 which is about the same. With 6k miles I'm sure it will demand a premium but $59k is nuts.

Seems to be a little high to me as well, the sticker price on our 2012 GMC Crew-Cab, D/A combo with short bed was $53,000. Looking at Blue Book the last time, seemed to me the price was down around $40,000+, but that was a year or so ago. Maybe it's that nice a truck, but with the rebates going around, I would suggest he look at the new 2017s if he can find one.

That is a ridiculous price for sure. I paid $52 for my Chevy 3500 diesel duramax fully loaded in 2014.

Agree that the price is pretty high. I’d get a new 3500 as you’d also get the assist tailgate and step bumper. Might not seem like a big difference but those are something you use a lot.

I agree, nice truck but price to high, just bought a 2018 RAM Laramie with a Cummings Diesel for less than 60k.

Long Time Chevy die hard chevy fan / owner, had several Chevy Duramax Diesels, all were great trucks but when I went shopping for a new Truck to tow our 5th Wheel with, the RAM has a lot of pluses including the Factory Air Ride rear suspension which is great towing our 5er.
I went to Chevy Dealer and on Chevy 3500 DRW Duramax the dealer wanted $14,000 more than a RAM 3500 DRW Cummings equipped similarly.

For that money he could almost get a new Denali. The interiors on the newer ones are better, if he is even considering spending close to that kind of money get the current HD pickup. Much more comfortable, the 17's and newer are a lot more responsive, and I am getting better mpg with my '18 with more power than my '15.

Yes my thoughts as well. its a nice truck, but not for that price.... I will let him know, I'm sure he's calling the bank for the value. Just a lot of coin to drop......
