3/4 ton truck gas mileage - what is normal?

I have a 99 Ram 2500 V10, it gets 12 maybe 13 mpg tops, while not towing.
I have a 7700lb trailer I tow with it.
I am looking to update my truck... I am aware that I am at the upper limit of most 1/2 ton trucks, and would not be an issue for a 3/4.
1/2 ton trucks post gas mileage, 3/4 ton trucks do not.
I would use my truck as a get to work vehicle most of the time, so mpg will play into my decision.
What is the normal mpg on a V8 3/4 ton truck?(not towing)

16-19 mpg hwy here depending on conditions. City is 12-14, towing is 7-9.

It will blip into the low 20s for short durations on flat sections of hwy when 4 cyl mode cuts in, which helps the average.

I'd look at a 2015 F150 3.5 Eco Boost with 3.31 gears. Rated to tow 10,700lbs. 2000lb payload. Better mpg for work travel.
3/4 ton gassers are going to eat a hole in your mpg wallet.

Fuel economy difference between comparbaly equipped 1500 and 2500 series trucks is so small it would hardly be noticed. The big differences are, 1500 bit softer ride, worse resale, less brakes, lighter frame, tires, and wheels.

Yes, towing I get between 6-10 mpg. 10 mpg came on mostly level roads or downhill where OD could be used... I expect towing mpg to be much less than not towing.

Towing, you'll get about 8 mpg. :B & bare it !!!

2011 F250 empty the best I ever got was 15 MPG.

My new Ram 2500 with 6.4 is getting 17 plus and as high as 19. Just depends on how and where you drive. My work truck is a Chevy 2500 and it gets 12 plus.
