4 years 6.7Powerstroke update

It’s been 4 years since I bought a brand new 2014 F350 4x4 long box SuperDuty with the 6.7 Powerstroke. I have been pulling a tt, equipment trailer and a horse trailer sometimes with 4 horses in it all over the south west. Before buying this truck I had a 350 with the 7.3 in it and thought that was probably the best truck Ford would probably ever make but this 6.7 with 102,000 miles on it has beat the 7.3 in every way !!! I’m getting on average 18 to 20 mpg empty and 11....12 loaded . The truck as only been back to the dealer once because of a check engine light, turned out It was because I didn’t plug the air cleaner sensor back in. I like all kinds of trucks but I would buy one of these again in a heart beat !!

Glad you guys haven't had any problems but if you really want to talk reliability, come back and post when there is a 1 and then a 2 in front of those mileage numbers.

Good post by brooks379. Thanks. I am still driving a 7.3 and will probably stay with it because of the price of newer trucks. Mine is going up in value.

The trucks are REALLY holding their value. I'd like a '15 and above 6.7 PSD but suspect I'll have to wait a few more years before I get one equipped the way I like with the price I can live with.

I feel the same about my "15" 6.7... had the 6.0 . . the 6.4... the older V-10...

Got my "15" in May of 2014 so I am approaching 4 years... just turned 38,000 miles ( still not broke in ) and it's a beast !

Thanks for the update!
I drove a then new one in 2015 mainly towing RV trailers. I put about 8K hard miles on it with it only needed an oil change. I loved the power and economy of the stock drivetrain. I always thought about getting a used one for myself but was worried about the cost of repairs of the new engine with expensive components.

Only problem on my 2012 F350 6.7 bought new July 2012 was a bad exhaust gas high temp sensor replaced under warranty.

Mine has been mostly trouble free for 6 years, I had a cracked plastic intake on the turbine a couple years ago and an antilock brake trouble light that turned out to be a seat belt sensor?!. Otherwise no problems, we've towed our 34 ft fiver up and down the western mountains. It has about 4K miles before it hits the 100K mark.

The 6.7 PSD has been getting very good reviews over the years here. Very few problems reported. See no reason not to buy one based on reliability.

That's not right. Acorrding to some non diesel owners, you should have had that truck at the dealer at least six times and had all sorts of emission issues.

Congrats on the good report of little to no issues.
