I just replaced the old Sensar antenna with a new Sensar IV
It was only $20 more than just buying the wingman
I also added the Sensar Pro digital meter
Nice thing about the meter is i can turn the antenna and watch for the strongest signal
I checked the signal with the old antenna and the new one.
I received 38 channels on both
The real test will be when boondocking to see if the money was well spent but so far it wasn't an improvement

IF you have room the 'wingman' can be added to old head and will improve reception about $30.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001U2DPUE

Or complete replacement head only (with wingman feature)for about $50
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZOH63W

Lastly a complete new sensor IV antenna assembly, includes crank, inside power supply and coax for about $113. (yours is 20+ years old)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VAZ6OG

Alternately any of the components/parts are available which I assume yours is a Winegard.

Many reasons for poor reception of antenna. The inside power supply can fail, simple break of coax somewhere, board inside head or connections inside head can fail. But the primary failure is connection at roof if your camper has one, generally most do. Short coax from head is coupled to coax from camper, covered with boot and often a pound of sealant. Simple corrosion. Second would be the short coax from head breaking from flexing over the years or corrosion in the connectors.
Coax can be tested with multi meter if powered, or continuity of +/-. Or bypassed with length of coax from inside to head see if reception improves. I wouldnt purchase parts untill coax checked.

After the analog TV broadcasts were shut down, many stations reverted to VHF. About 25% of TV stations are now broadcasting on VHF, so the best RV antenna is the Winegard Sensar IV which has the Wingman built in. If you have an older version, you can purchase just the Wingman and snap it onto the bottom of the antenna.

Most of the digital broadcasts are in the UHF band although there are a couple in VHF. Getting a directional antenna and amplifier that is optimized for UHF will net the most stations.

Have you upgraded the TV and are you using the amplifier?

You can also add a Winegard Sensar Wingman to your existing antenna.

I just replaced the broken Batwing on my MH with this model Sensar IV. It pulled in 15 more channels than the original antenna.

I switched my stock antenna for a Winegaurd Razor antenna, it connected to the original mast and it works good. When in my driveway I just follow the promps on the TV menu and in about 15 mins it receives over 20 stations, but that depends on your location. It was easy to install too.
