Camper Damage
The first picture shows you what my Bigfoot Camper and Boat looked like when I put it away just before the winter.

The next 12 pictures show you what I found this morning.

At this point I have no idea what the extent of the damage is. People coming tomorrow to help clean up the mess.

Will keep you posted. Worst winter in 20 years.

Sorry, have you been inside the camper for a look?
If you don't see any leaks, wait until everything melts( like in August) and then slowly back off the wood.
I know that you're tempted to get at it right now, but you might damage it worse!
God bless you

Back a few years ago a tree clobbered a BFoot. The factory replaced the top 1/2 of the camper... Thought that was quite impressive...

Over the years I have read of holes being poked in the Fglass tops... Quick cheap repair done and the campers lived.

Bent luggage rack , damaged vents... but I hope for you
with no extended water damage, fractures of the glass or holes can be handled by a good boat repair shop that does gelcoat,Ive done it on boats , and have seen shower stalls in houses being built where kids beat holes in them so bad you would think there was no way to repair just replace , but they were repaired so you could never tell

Hope it works out for you

My bet is no damage to the Bigfoot itself. Maybe damage to vents, A/C or solar stuff.

My thought was even if damaged the camper held up well for the load it took on, it didn't fold or collapse. Speaks well for that camper. Hope it isn't too bad.

Sorry for your camper, but when you are rebuilding the shed, Google the word "truss"

Looks like someone needs to figure out how to put braces between the left and right sides of the roof, so it will stay together. Just some plywood on each side of each roof rafter will work it out. Or attaching 2X4 on each side of each rafter. This will keep them from spreading apart.

And where you get several inches of snow, you really need to have a steeper roof, and then the snow can shed itself.

Really sorry for your loss. Time to see how good your insurance is. I did not see much if any truss supports under the roof on the first pic? Let us know how it turns out.

Oh my heart hurts for you. What a sight!

Our winter has been horrible too. I'm thankful to have ours tucked in our neighbor's big shed/garage.

Hoping for the best news possible.

Man! That sux.:(

Looks to me as if there may be some holes in the top on the side opposite the one which has the ridge board still attached. Looks like the roof separated at the ridge.

Good luck.

I don't think I see any major damage... Just some snow on top... It probably was a slow dropping of the roof on top of the camper..

Let us know how you made out...
