Bunk bed mattresses

I have a 2010 Dutchmen Sport 27B and am needing to replace the mattresses. Specifically I'm having trouble finding one for the top bunk, which measures 29W x 72L. Nobody seems to carry these! Any advice or experience in upgrading a mattress this size? Thanks!

or buy a foam topper and trim it. Buy a sheet , sew it and cover it .

That thing is 2.5". Might as well sleep on a towel!

Not really.
1. it depends on the foam used.
2. you could buy 2 of them .
3. overhead bunks are weight restricted. I thought the bunk was to used for a child.

We went to a local foam and upholstery shop in our town they quoted us for two foam mattresses about your size at 160. Each. One was angled at the foot.

Try Mattressinsider.com, we ordered a set of twins to replace our queen size after enlarging the platform. The standard twins were too wide. They are foam but quite comfortable. Throw on a Mypillow and voila'.....nice sleep!:)

We currently are using a foam topper below the original mattress to give additional support.

Our next upgrade is getting a 75x38 foam mattress from IKEA ($90 each) cutting the cover and trimming foam then sewing cover back up. A little work but the mattress is decent for the price.

Depending on the weight of the individual it may or may not be any better.

We have IKEA matresses on the master (full bed) and the lower bunk (twin). They are super comfy and very affordable.

I did find what appears to be a comfortable "cot mattress" which is memory foam and only about $120. Probably going to try that out. It's a tad bigger than ideal, but I think we can squeeze it in.

Purchase a 6" memory foam mattress in any size and cut with a serrated knife to fit. Got mine at Sam's Club.

I thought about doing that. However, everything I've seen in the 6" or above variety is a complete mattress, with some type of cover. The only bare memory foam option I've seen anywhere is the 2"-3" topper type thing.

I didn't see anything on there except standard size matresses. Did I miss something?

We had a custom twin xl mattress made for my son's bed, wasn't much more expensive than a standard size commercial mattress, like $220. This for inner spring plus foam topper, probably too high for an RV at about 7" thick but you can get custom memory foam mattress for a similar price.

Where?

The only custom sized ones I've seen are $480, at Michigan Discount Matresses. Way overpriced. I did find a "Cot30" mattress which measures 30x74, for about $150. It's an 8 inch mattress. Wondering if I could make that work. It's an inch wide and 2 inches longer than what I need, but since it's foam, I may be able to squeeze it.
