Camper satisfaction

Just curious about how satisfied you are with your camper. I've had this one for 6 months and am very satisfied. We are just on our 2nd trip of 3 weeks. Total of 5 weeks so far. It was only used 5 months when I bought it.
"Some assembly required" is correct.
So chime in.

Bought the one in the sig new on Halloween in 2009. Only problem - the manufacturer didn't put the hood vent directly over the stovetop, but halfway back. Cannot use the stovetop at all because of this (first time I tried it became obvious very quickly that the air was becoming unbreathable). I was only trying to make coffee, as I do all my cooking outside (learned my lesson in the old trailer when I fried some fish). I can still use the oven if needed.
One thing I miss about the old hybrid we had - you had windows on all four sides and could always get a breeze. Now we only have windows on two sides.

๐Ÿ™‚ Hi, we have owned our trailer for over eleven years and still love it. But our trailer is not a camper, it's a "Travel Trailer". And that is how it is used.

It seems like most people are happy with their camper which is good. We have a 2010 KZ sportsman 242 that we bought last year and started thinking about the next TT after the 1st trip. The worst thing is the U shaped dinette is too small and very poor cushions, it also did not have WH bypass or antifreeze suction and tanks too small. part of the issues could be we came from a 34' class A.

We've traveled over 8,600 miles in the last 1 1/2 years with our Starcraft Autumn Ridge 329BHU and couldn't be happier. Sure, we've had a couple of minor glitches, but overall, we're totally satisfied!

Happy camping!

So far, very happy with our's (almost 3 years now). I don't even want to consider looking at anything else, or visit an RV shows. Why spend time doing that when you've already got the absolute best!

We enjoyed our previous new to us Keystone Hideout 19FLB camper for over 6 years and we enjoy our new Forest River Salem 26TBUD.

We have not head any major issues with either camper. The current one is perfect for us and have had only minor warranty issues to have fixed.

It's been a mixed bag for us. Our current TT has served us well in the last 2 seasons, since we bought it. DH misses the extra space and seating comfort from our previous (much larger) TT, and I miss the larger bathroom and under-floor ducted heating it had, but for the trips we do - usually not much longer than 2 weeks at a time - and the relative ease of towing and fitting it into campsites we like, this one is wonderful! Some relatively minor issues with it that the dealer could not fix.

I think there are always some things we wish were better/different, and others that are just right, or even better than expected. We came to the conclusion many years ago that there is no such thing as the perfectcamper.

Had our trailer for 9 months, used for 56 nights so far about 20 of those winter camping. We have been very happy with it. We switched from a 9ft arctic fox 811 truck camper so we are extremely spoiled by the extra room of the 25ft Nash. Towing the beast around has been great and i can still get into 90% of the wilderness camping spots that i took my old arctic fox. It has held up fine so far on the rough gravel roads where we use the trailer and it tows excellent on the paved roads as well. Insulation quality is top notch, i would almost say its better then our Arctic fox 811 which i thought was extremely well insulated, i think it may be the wood frame of the nash. It was a major hassle switching from camper to trailer though. I had to sell old boat, buy smaller boat, create a loading system on truck for the boat and make some other adjustments to our setup. So far the wife is very happy as we have 2 small children so she loves the extra room the trailer provides.

Issues i have had:

Dealer installed used propane tanks, upon noticing i called and said what the? and they switched them with the new ones that northwood sends with the trailer.

12v usb charger port will not charge high amp devices like ipad or fastcharge cellphones like new samsung phones. Oversight on northwood imo.

outside speakers wired wrong, left is right channel, right is left channel. I am probably just going to fix this myself.

very poor caulk on one of the rear windows. fixed myself.

propane heater - had the cover for one of the outlet vent holes come off and was just exhausting hot air straight into a cabinet. fixed myself.

fridge messed up on me 2 times. both times i had to dissemble and blow compressed air through the air orifice to clear. This was from left over debris inside the propane gas line i imagine. This could be avoided if northwood used a high volume of compressed air through the gas lines before connecting appliances.

Pretty minor issues in the big picture.

Coming up on five years with my Fundinder 189FDS. I have to admit, I have enjoyed every mile of towing it, and every night spent in it. I shopped for almost 18 months before deciding on this trailer. I really wanted to "get the choice right" ( for me ) the first time.

I've had only minor issues that I fixed myself. Yep, "some assembly required".....but that's ok....all part of the fun for me.

I've been home for a month now after my winter trip to arizona....getting ready to head out for a week this coming monday.

I bought a 2016 Wilderness 2875BH last year. It's the perfect camper for us. I haven't had any issues. I had a Dutchmen before where they installed a window upside down.

Already have been out 2 times this year, and going out this weekend again.

Very happy with our previous Jayco TT and just as happy with our current Palomino Sabre 5th wheel.
