F 350 6.7 update

Well I just parked the TT for a while . I've been from NM, to KS and back 2 times this year NM to Kalifornia and back and NM to Western NY and back once plus hauled our horses all over NM and AZ so the F 350 Super Duty got a little bit of a workout and all I can say is this Ford F 350 SRW 6.7 Powerstroke is a winner ! I've had it almost 2 years and it just doesn't get any better than driving down the road in this Power House. I thought the 7.3 was something and didn't ever think I would own a truck I liked better but I forgot all about the 7.3 since I've had this truck. I don't care what truck anyone owns but man I am proud of this one ! No problems , never been back to Ford. I change the fluids regularly, run full Syn. oil. Power and comfort to spare !!

Been more than pleased with our 2012 dually and we are towing near the max for the truck.

But right now, all of the BIG three are doing a good job. We are full time RVers, so we see lots of rigs in the parks. By far, the number one tow vehicle for serious RVers is the new 6.7L Ford. Next is the new 6.7L Dodge Ram. We do see a few DuraMaxs for 3rd place.

The 6.7 has 56,000 miles on it. Well it didn't take long before this thread fell apart like most other truck threads. Guess that's why I haven't read a complete thread on here in about a year, same guys, same old BS (My trucks better than your truck). See y'all another day another way....I'm outa the TV section for a while.

He must have a 98.5-2002 24V model Cummins!!! I was not allowed to go get donuts on Friday morning at 5:30AM for the guys coffee break in our snowbird park with my 2001.5. Now with the 2015 I will be require to do a lot of make up donut runs!! :B :B :B

Yeah when I ordered the F 250, maybe I shoulda dipped more into the kids inheritance and splurged for the diesel.

I still don't regret just letting the ole 6.2 gasser rev a little and get me there once or twice a year.

Yep,I have heard nothing but good things about that animal.

The 6.7 is night and day different in power, comfort and towing over my 05 5.9. If she's finally fixed and stays out of the shop I'll be one happy camper. That said, i miss the days of dumping runoff in the old Ram and having it just run (slight exaggeration of course) and that would hold true for all three offerings.

Despite the brand wars so common here, it is ALWAYS good to hear someone is happy with their truck! Positive opinions carry a lot more weight than negative ones.

Here's to hoping for many more trouble-free miles for you!

Awesome, glad the truck has worked well for you. Its amazing how far technology has come even in 10 years, isn't it? The 6.7 Scorpion sure sounds like a great rig. Hope it gives you years and years of trouble free towing! How many miles do you have now?

There was just an article in the latest diesel mags about the common rail systems now in us. From what I understand ALL 3 new models can use fuel system help regarding water and contaminates. Might be something to consider for ANY manuf to add a water separator and filter system like a airdog or what ever others may et good reviews. Seems the systems are designed for fuel CLEANER than what is available in the US!

Just some food for thought.

Good report brooks379. These are really impressive trucks.

My '12 truck now has 83k miles and no repairs, no cel's, or nusances to date. I purchased one set of tires and two sets of windshield wipers as for wear items. Fuel economy, power, ride quality, quite interior and comfortable seats make it a joy to drive and makes for an awesome experience.

I went from a 6.0 gasser Chevy to a new Cummins and it still far exceeds my expectations, every day. People always ask me "it's night and day different ain't it". No, it's more than that. :B
Our work trucks are F450-550 boom bucket trucks with the 6.7's and it really almost feels like it's an overkill to have that engine in them.
Of course they give me the one with the V10 :M
These new diesels of all flavors are putting out crazy numbers and it's sounds like they've all got a handle on the emissions now too.
