Our Son found a left over 2019 f250 with a $70K window sticker. Dealer wants $64K. I haven't even looked at a Ford since 1990 so don't know where it should be.

The dealership is most likely paying against a short term loan

Ask how long it has been there...a tell is the manufacture date on the vehicles various labels and MSRP sheet. The longer it sits...the more they lose in payments to the bank

Ask to see the invoice

How many miles are on the odometer ?

Agree with others, too much and either it is spot on for the market (so it should sell fast)...or they left themselves lots of haggle room

How much is a used 2019 as equipped worth with 5000 miles?

I would offer $50k, maybe settle at $55k. I expect to get a fresh order 2020 for at least $10k off.

Just make sure you have a good pair of shoes, Uber app or a ride waiting down the block, because 25% off aint happening unless it fell off the transport truck, got broke into by a hungry grizzly or its lavender or teal AND 2wd!

You get 25% off your Silvy?

I mean, maybe it will work, but don't get your hopes up, in a good economy on the best selling truck on the market. If you're serious and don't want to fck around for a week with salesmen don't play silly games.

I agree for a year old model year that is not a good deal. Ford should be offering better rebates and incentives than that to clear inventory. Go in the last day of the month and try for lowest offer. Show interest but not excitement about the truck. Be prepared to head toward the door 2-3 times to get the price to drop.
Best times to buy are last day or two of the month, last day or two of the quarter, and (best but far away) last day or two of the year. They are trying to make monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas.
Been a few years but I bought mine at the end of a model year just before the new ones came out and I got $14,000 off sticker.

$6k is not enough of a discount to blink an eye on a 1 year old

they can do better, much better,,, They HAVE to make room for the 2020's they will be stocking by the droves soon....

Like stated, go in and ask for a manager, make a lowball offer, prepare to haggle, and wait...

Go in ask to see the invoice, look at the bottom of the invoice for the "X" plan price. Tell the dealer that's the price you want. In actuality, if you get the X-plan plus $500 you're doing pretty good. But asking for X-plan is a good place to start.
If you try your best and can't get something close to X-plan no matter what. Come back on here and ask if someone will get you and X-plan number for you to use. I'm pretty sure a Ford employee can get a "friend" the X-plan price; I could be wrong.
Just note, you still have to pay taxes, DMV fees, and the dealer is allowed a $100.00 ยฑ Doc fee above the X-plan price.
You are also entitled to any incentives currently applicable to the purchase vehicle. Ask them to run a "Smart Vincent" report to get a true listing of current incentives applicable.
I don't know a whole lot about F250's, but my read on this is, $62.5 to $63.0 is going to be about what I would expect you can get it for (not including incentives).

Why is it still on the lot? Over priced? Poorly optioned? Hideous color? Pour a coffee, offer 55 and be prepared to haggle.

Is there anything that makes that $70k truck "perfect" for the local market? If so, maybe the discount should be $8 - $12; if not, the $12-$15k quoted by IdaD would be more in line.

Bought a new F250 last year; sticker was (IIRC) $68, got it for $60; but it was a real good fit for the market up here (4WD, heated seats, limited slip, etc, etc, etc) and with a few aftermarket things thrown in.

FWIW, I've been pretty happy with the F250 for the grand total of the 6000 miles so far.

I donโ€™t know about Ford but I just picked up a 2019 Chevy and got $12,500 off a spray in bed liner and factory floor liners thrown in. That price seems high.

I think I'd shoot for more like $12-15k off a 2019 model with a $70k sticker price. At least.

Not trying to sound arrogant, honestly.

Retired and can afford a brand new truck if I wish but won't pay anywhere near that.

I'm one of those that will tell a dealer they're NUTS. Lol

If the dealer is open on Saturday, go in early Saturday (or Friday if not open Saturday) and make a low ball offer and then walk out. Price is too high.
