Good Customer Service from Arctic Fox

Just wanted to relate an act of good customer service from the Arctic Fox (Northwood) folks. Recently I power drained (used the pump) to drain the water tank faster of our 2013 AF 996. Next time we loaded up, the water pump would not pick up or hold a prime. Pulled the strainer and found it full of plastic shavings left over from the assembly process (probably drilled for fittings about 5 minutes before quitting time on Friday ;). I contacted Northwood about the issue and was directed to my nearest dealer. I noted that we were loaded, ready to go on a trip, but that dealer would be a few hours out of our way. Dave Mann of Northwood said that we bought the camper to use and they wanted to get us back on the road as soon as possible so he directed me to choose any RV repair place I wanted and have them call for payment arrangements. We found a dealer along our route, got the pump replaced in about an hour, had the service manager chat with Northwood and with not a penny out of pocket, we were back on the road. Good follow up on the part of Northwood to correct a problem, which is the true test of customer service.:)

Dave Mann at Northwoods is awesome. He recently helped me address a failed slide bearing when the local dealer wouldn't.

The do have low point drains as well as a tank drain, but I can see the purpose of using the tank to pump the water out - it's much faster. Using the drain takes FOREVER (at least on the rigs I've had it did)

On our current Northwoods the fresh-tank dump valve is huge (now this may not be true of all current Northwoods product. Dumping the fresh is fast

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

To often all we hear is bad things about manufactures and are dump on in web sites.
It is nice to see this thread and is something we should all do , not only report bad service but also good services needs to be pointed out as well. :C

I am not aware of any Northwood product that does not have a low-point drain
