How do you keep your plastic from fading?

I know there have to be some of us on here that didn't check the "all chrome everything" box before they signed a 30yr mortgage for a new truck...

So, what products do you use to keep your black plastic looking black and not chalky and faded? I'm asking more for grills and side moldings and bed rails and that kinda stuff...

i use adams polishes, their super VRT has sunscreen and helps with the color, but it is something i apply all the time.

Like others I'd say 303 from new for the uv protection. And keep it in the garage when you can.

I use 303 on a lot of things and its good at preventing platic from fading and yes it will bring the black back but you'll be re-applying in a couple weeks time. I put Wipe New on early summer and it has lasted through 8-10 car washes and still looks pretty good. If you want to bring the back back and have it LAST there are better products out there than 303. Stuff is easy to apply just be sure to keep it off paint or chrome.

Use it on your front cap also for bugs, they literally almost just fall off with no splats or indents.

Back to black sucks... Washes off with one trip through the car wash. Threw that stuff in the trash after using Wipe New and seeing how long it lasts.

I have used ProtectAll on my vehicles plastic (and paint) for many years. The plastic on my 18 year old F150 still looks new.

I use 303 on a lot of stuff but if you want it to stay black a long time try Wipe New. Sell it at HD. I'm a believer.
