How many Amerigo truck campers are there left?

I know the Amerigo owners are aware of other Amerigo truck campers in thier area.
I was just wondering as to the actual number of these campers left around.
If you know of any in your area could you post how many and what part of the country they are in. Sitting in a back yard counts!

I know of 3 others in my home town, and there are 2 others on the beach where I camp on Cape Cod.

That would be 6 for the Southeastern Massachusetts area.

Thanks

Thank you! Photos would sure help. I guess the measurements, too, actually, if it's not too much trouble. How much do you think it will cost? I'm buying it from an individual, not a dealer. NUTS, how am I going to get it home? It's a five hour drive each way. Ah, this is not as joyful an experience as I'd hoped.

You will need to modify the jacks to be able fit around the dually wheels... But only the front jacks. The modification for my Amerigo was done prior to my arrival to pick it up. I was lucky I bought mine from a RV dealer, so they had the capabilities and materials to built the Jack extenders. I can post pics if you need to see what they look like. Or I can give you measurements of the extenders built.

Oh no! I just read on someone's blog that their Amerigo didn't fit on their dually, and they had to modify the camper to make it fit. I thought having an F350 and an 8' bed were the only requirements. I didn't know the truck couldn't be a dually. Is this true?

Will do, Bob. Where are you from in the Bay Area? I was born in Santa Rosa, lived in Freestone, Santa Cruz, Sonoma. I miss it.

Their's one a mile from my house in the lower Hudson Valley, of NY. I go by the house every so often and it's always there. Never see any one outside too ask what's it's status. Think I'll go by again today might get lucky.

I know this thread was months ago, but I'm too excited not to comment here. Add one more Amerigo to the list, I'm buying one on Monday! Gorgeous, all original 1971, original owner on Long Island had it until two years ago and took excellent care of it. Current owners have also cared for it very well. I plan on babying it, because I want to have it for a long time.

Those campers were definitely ahead of their time. Still look "high tech" and futuristic. Like the common style we might see in 10 years from now.
