On my way home 9/24/14 at about 5PM on Randall Rd in South Elgin, Il, I saw an Okanagan TC travelling east on Big Timber, maybe coming from the campground at Paul Wolff FP.

It is so rare to see a hardside TC in these parts, especially one that isn't a Lance. I waved at you (you didn't see me).

Now I have camper's itch. No camping this summer makes for a cranky Sue.

Hi We see very few here in North Carolina. We enjoy and make a game of it when watching old tv shows like Adam 12, Emergency, Chips. We count all the TC's in the shows. Almost every show has a couple. Even the ranger in Flipper has a TC which looks over loaded for the truck. Bill

Maybe they are boondocking and who knows maybe they were checking someting out in your area, isn't VT a nice place...we TC folks like to explore, at least I think so.

2015 is a big trip in the planning...hope we run across TC folks on the road...Tacoma to PIE/NS on Trans CND, then down eastern seaboard at least to NJ to visit a long lost pal from the AF (1972) and then maybe to FL and back to T-town via the GOM...late summer start...now I will keep a record of TC's spotted. We are looking forward to that.

....lots of truck campers around us in Southern Quebec. On our Sept 20th shakedown to a local National Park 30 minutes drive from us, we saw two.

Traveling around in this region from about May 1st to ~~end of October, we encounter a truck camper on the road about once in every 3 trips to the grocery store...

See a lot of truck campers here in Michigan, both on the roads and in CG's. Especially in West Michigan and in the Upper Peninsula. By far most TC's are Lance's with a mix of others making up the balance: Very few Caribou's, Elkhorn's, Palimino's, Shadow Cruiser's, Travel Lite's, and the very seldom seen are Arctic Fox's, Okanagan's, Adventurer's, Big Foot's, Northern Lite's. Have yet to see an Eagle Cap, a Host, or a Wolf Creek here or in the state and we RV a lot in our state and have for 51 years now.

All season long there will be at least half a dozen + TC's anytime in the CG's at Grand Haven State Park, P J Hoffmaster State Park, Holland State Park, Muskegon State Park, and Ludington State park where we were at last weekend. That's only 5 State Parks in less than 100 miles distance of West Michigan's Lake Michigan's Shoreline out of the over 100 State Parks alone in Michigan. All 174 sites at Grand Haven State Park are clearly visible from Harbor Ave which we travel on every day and see what's camping there. The CG is right on the soft golden sugar sand shoreline beach and all sites have large concrete pads and all interior roads or you'd sink instantly to your axles (both vehicle and the RV) if you drove off the pavement. Nope, 4 wheel drive won't get your rig out either!

RV'ing with all types of camping and RV units is very popular in Michigan as there's a couple thousand public campgrounds in the state with there being over 200,000 total actual campsites per the Michigan DNR and that doesn't include the many boondocking allowed areas of the National Forests and State Forests or the private clubs (such as the Elks, hunt clubs, church conference grounds, county fairgrounds, etc) CG's.

My husband called me on his way home from work today to tell me he saw one. They are few and far between here, but I am seeing them more often.

Sounds to me like somebody needs an itch scratched. I hereby give you permission to go hide in the woods somewhere for a couple days. Or a week. Oh, heck, make it two.
