Hek, I can't remember a day over 35 degrees since December. Most days are between 10 degrees and -10 degrees.

I feel for you! Reminds me why we do inside storage every year. Haven't been above 50 degrees for 90 days now. Just 59 days before she comes out of storage, 67 days to the first camp. Weeee! Can't wait. But as it stands right now, we'll have snow for the next 4 days. It's nice though, if it snows that means the temperature will be above zero. Had plenty of those this winter...

Boband4- Thanks for the advice, but I think we are OK. I did the same with a MH I used to have before I built a big garage. I did not use rope to hold the tarp down. I Went to Harbor Fright and bought three twenty-five foot,two-inch wide tow straps with loops on each end. I put those over the top and tied the loops together under the TT. Than ran a rope all the way around the bottom though the strap loops and pulled it tight, at least as tight as I can, tied the front and back down. Worked well, and still is. Only thing is I can hear it flap in the wind a bit out side the bedroom window at night.

I sort of feel your pain. While we have not had any real snow we have had day after day of temps in the low twenties and some mid teens in the Dallas area. We are heading out today for a couple of days at Lake Texoma since the highs will now be in the low 70's. We did not even get our trailer winterized after our September camping trip because I thought we would fit one more trip in before winter hit. I have been running an electrical heater and catalytic heaters (when it got really cold) to keep the temp inside the trailer in low 40's.

On the bright side you will be able to go camping near where you live in the early summer but it probably will be pushing upper 90's by then here. That is when we leave Texas and head for the mountains.

I think it was someone on here that said they were going to load thier snowblower in the back of the truck and drive south until someone asked what that was in the back of the truck. Then they were going to move there.

WA7NDD -Be careful about throwing a rope over the roof to haul the tarp over the camper. I did that with my previous TT and created leak! When I was on the curb side with the rope over it to the street side the rope was rubbing against the edge of the roof and it wore about an inch off of the EPDM roof right where it folded over the edge of the wall. Just enough to create a leak into a cabinet. Luckily ae found it quickly and put about a foot of eternabond tape over the rubbed area. Solved the leak.

Idaho is never in the national weather news. We deal with snow every year, as if its ok for Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming to have snow and power outages when it is ten to twenty below never an word about it. Let is snow on the east coast - well you've seen the news.

So this year I bought a MH and my TT is sitting outside of the garage. Decision, which one stays outside in the snow, and which one gets the garage. Well, the MH won, so I buy a blue tarp to cover the TT, Normally I never worry about this just put it in the garage winterize it.

No help around, so I toss a rope over the TT to pull the tarp over the top. For some reason the rope has a kickback, or the old guy throwing is always off balance. Down I go and not a sprinkle of snow in sight. Hurt my leg and back, finally get the tarp on and tied down. Suffer for weeks, get a shot in my back. I wish now, I had a much bigger garage.

The snow is now piled on the TT, and still not on the national news, and we lose power for most of the day and it's eight below, nothing new. Decision, the TT must go, but my wife selected it, and she won't put the tarp on, can you imagine that?
