Looking for a Truck Camper Coffee Maker. What's everyone using? Wife isn't into French Press. Curious to see what others use with limited counter space.

Another vote for the Melita single cup filter. If it's one of those four cup mornings, I'm getting a freshly brewed cup each time but if one cup will do the trick, I don't waste anything I don't drink.

I use a nice stove perk. It took a bit of practice to get it right. I also found coffee filters for it and now it's quick, easy, and as delicious as at home brewed coffee.

BTW, it's heavy duty stainless steel. We got it at Scheels.

The above requires no disposable filters.
No glass so it wont break
Can be operated on electric cook tops, gas cook tops, and fires.
No electricity required (unless you are using an electric cook top)
Easy to clean. Easy to operate. Works fast.

And for those of you who dont like drinking your coffee with a fork - you can adjust the ratio of water to coffee

I have used percolators and drip. Currently, I am using this:

It is nice and simple and puts out a nice, strong cup of coffee when using a fine grind. The next best thing I would use is a press. Those are the best, really. You can control the temp of the water for the best extraction possible from the bean. That is why the coffee house coffees taste so good. They don't boil the water.

Meant to upload this:

Call me a brute, but I like Tasters Choice Coffee. Merely boil a pot of water on the stove, add a spoon of Tasters Choice to a cup of hot water for whatever strength you desire and enjoy. When camping we like to add a spoon of cocoa powder and sugar to taste and add a quarter to half inch of half and half for an instant mocha. Add just the slightest pinch of cinnamon if you desire.
We do have a Melita single cup filter and a coffee press. For the press and Melita to work properly, you need to have the water bubbling boiling in the thick metal pot when pouring into the press or Melita for best results. Be Careful, no Mickey D moments wanted.

If you don't mind electric, this built-in works fine for me. I put it where the entertainment center would have gone.

In the camper, I've used a French Press and a stainless perk pot. Currently, I'm using the peculator.

The French Press makes a better cup of coffee. It's what I use at home.

I'm another fan of the Melitta drip.

We're set up well for drycamping. The Melitta drip works best for us. Boil water on stove and drip through single cup cones directly into each of our mugs.
Easy to store.
Lightweight.
Easy to clean up too, just drop the filters and grounds into the garbage.
I usually fresh grind the beans before we leave for a weekend outing, or I'll pack the coffee grinder and we'll fire up the gennie every 4-5 days just to grind coffee.

We've been very happy with this. http://www.target.com/p/coleman-camping-coffeemaker/-/A-710955?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_... We grind our beans the night before so as not to have to fire the genset up at 0600 when we're up and have "silent" coffee anytime we want it.
