New F150

Could not stand looking at the new trucks so decided to bite the bullet and get a new one for myself!

It was tough to give up the old 97 F150... It was a really good truck and never let me down. I didn't get much for the trade, but it covered the sales tax, so that's something!

Just had to share because I've been looking at everyone else's new trucks for the last 12 years! ๐Ÿ™‚

2013 F150 SuperCab 4x4 XLT EgoBoost Max Tow

GVWR #7700
Payload per sticker #1920
3.73 Electronic lock diff
36 gallon fuel tank
P275/55/20R Bridgestone all season tires (#44 max psi)

UPDATED PICS.. Some of my own now. (my tonneau cover from the old F150 fits like a glove on the new one! ๐Ÿ™‚ )

It's got 56 miles on it now... Gotta wait till May to hitch it up, but that will give me time to put the break in miles on it and figure out all the electronics on it! It's a bit overwhelming!

Thanks for looking!

Congrats on the truck! You'll love the EB while towing. Just came back from Fort Wilderness straight through home...just over 600 miles. Most comfortable vehicle I've ever towed with.

I'm a little late, but Congratulations! You are going to continue smiling with that truck. I just returned from a 22 day, 3600 mile (3K towing, 600 looking around) trip with mine, pulling trailer in signature. The combination of power for pulling, and decent fuel economy when not, amazes me. Your trailer should be a perfect match. Mine weighs just a little more and it pulls wonderfully. The only problem with the extra length of mine is that on windy days I definitely noticed the tail wagging the dog. Driving from Destin, FL to Breaux Bridge, LA I dealt with a 20 mph, gusts to 30, crosswind. Not fun! That day had me wishing for a dually and a popup camper!

Congrats on the new truck, question, curious why you didn't hold out for the new F-150 with the aluminum body and engine support? The word is Ford is not going to increase the price at least not this year.

I've been 'holding out' since these new trucks came out in 2010! Then the Ego came out in 2011..

Decided that I could not wait anymore and besides, I still think aluminum is for beer cans... ๐Ÿ™‚

I was originally okay with a 5.0 V8 equipped truck... But, found out they don't offer the MAX TOW with the 5.0. Only the Ego..

Once I started seeing the higher GVWR/payload stickers on the MAX TOW equipped trucks that's all I could look at!

And I got a 'smoke'n' deal on this 13! ๐Ÿ™‚ (well, for me anyway.. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

I have to agree. just too hard to pass up. just purchased a new f-150 myself. Waited and waited on the ecodiesel from dodge for the fuel economy. Then I realized all the money I could save on buying a left over 2013 F-150 would sure buy a lot of extra fuel! Love the green. Mine is the plain white but intend on starting a business so the old service truck white will have to do.

The only thing that would make that look any sweeter would be that tan two tone Ford used with their Eddy Bauer. I was going to do that to my truck, what a sweet color IMO.

But yep $8,500 and dealing on the price is hard to walk away from.

Don, read several posts just before yours. There were (are)$8500 in rebates plus a willingness to negotiate on the 13's. I think that made the decision for many of us.

I too got pretty much 30% off the sticker (after all the rebates) and supposedly about a grand under dealer invoice... I don't really completely believe that, but I don't really care either... I got the thing for a "Fair to me" price compared to used and I didn't want a 2014 because they cost more and it's going to take me a bit to get used to the 2015's styling and the whole "Aluminum" thing... ๐Ÿ˜‰

They had a couple of used 2011 and 2012's that they wanted $30,000 for and they had anywhere from 20,000 to 30,000 miles on them! It was better to go with the new 2013! I also got a better loan rate because it's "new" compared to "used".

It has a build date of 10/2013, so it's not all that old anyway! ๐Ÿ™‚

Besides, it was EXACTLY how I would have ordered one. I only wanted an XLT. I wanted the MAX TOW and the 3.73 Elec diff, SuperCab, etc... It was like it was made just for me! ๐Ÿ™‚

I took my whole lunch hour today just to drive it again! ๐Ÿ™‚ I can't stop smiling! I took it up a 12% grade we have in the area and it just purred up the hill and I had to let off because I was speeding (50 mph speed limit). In the old 97, it would do it in third, but the TC had to be unlocked and it was on the verge of wanting to downshift into 2nd.. I can only imagine how it's going to do going over the pass on I-90 towing the TT... I can't wait!!

Same here, the deals were far to great on the 13s to do otherwise. I did find a max tow on a lot, but settled on color to get it. Love my truck, but like your green better.
