propane cost

I just paid $22 to fill up my 30 pound / 7 gallon propane tank. How much is everyone else paying out there? This was in Colorado Springs at a propane dealer. The local RV store was $2.00 more. We had relatives staying in the camper last week when it was right at zero. Sucked a lot of gas down keeping it warm.

2.00 to 2.60 a gallon depending on where you are here in the PNW. Always try to find a fueling station, lots of gas stations and fireplace shops carry propane and it is much much cheaper than those cylinder trading rackets. I've never spent more than $14.00 to re-fill my propane tank.

I got my home bill today; it was up 20 cents/gal. from last month.

The excuse of the day is colder weather and crop drying.

Here in central North Carolina I have two places locally that charge $10 for a 20 lbs, $15 for a 30 lbs, $25 for a 50 lbs and $50 for a 100 lbs. That is the cheapest I've found.

Just filled a 30# cylinder today. 7.1 gallons @ $2.89 = $21.61.

Got it at Americamp CG off I-95 north of Richmond at the Lewistown exit.

20 lb. tank for $11.99 at BJs the other day - cheapest I've seen it in awhile.

Our house is heated with propane and when we see the commercials saying "cheap economical propane" we just laugh. Our tank is 500 gallons. The other day had the gas company put 200 gallons to a tune of almost $500.00 The bill to put 300- 400 gallons in would be a number that would boggle my mind.

We use our local U-Haul dealer. For a 20# tank, it's less than $20. Most everyone else is charging a flat fee regardless of how much it takes, so if all you need is topping off, it costs you the same as if you filled a completely empty tank. I don't think so!

We are currently traveling in all this cold and even with a supplemental heater our TT is sucking down some propane. I paid $26 in KC two days ago and will have to refill a bottle tomorrow as we burned through 30# in 48 hours (of course the high was 7 on Sunday).

Propane is a racket , there are no controls , the price is what the market will bear plus 50% . If you want some intresting reading type in a search engine "propane complaints" or "Propane horror stories " and read a while .
