I had that problem and it turned out to be a shroud. One of the mounting screws had fallen out and the shroud had slipped out of position.

I've found you can take away some airflow to help that problem out, while on the road only . Loosing the airflow between the top and bottom vents does not work though when parked for a while. Fridge efficiency goes way down. (And things get hotter in there)

X2 on that. The burner gets caked up with carbon. Mine had to be cleaned after 13 years. Works fantastic now.

Years ago I went through this and ended up getting an aftermarket control board...

Solved all the flame out related issues and actually have a way of adjusting the temperature on the board.

http://www.dinosaurelectronics.com/Dom_boards.htm

Note the retry for flame out...

Spec:
*Built in Ignitor.
*2-way or 3-way operation.
*Fuse protected.
*Variable Temperature adjustment for those FIXED TEMP refrigerators.
*The CHECK light comes on after each ignition try fails to sense a flame.
*Repeats the 3 try ignition cycle at 30 minute intervals if no flame is sensed.
** In 3-way models, the DC element will drop out and the DC mode light will flash, if the voltage level falls too low? for more than 10 seconds.
*Easy to remove cover included

If it is a Dometic, they sell a kit to prevent blowouts. http://www.adventurerv.net/refrigerator-air-foil-baffle-kit-p-21023.html?osCsid=9ce02aka3i3r9s9v5l2r...

Here's a related thread which shows the kit installed in it. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/25701378/page/2.cfm

Could be referring to the TC Forum. It is his first post here.
