The price premium for diesel fuel

I have been noticing gas stations charging $.60 to $1 per gallon more for diesel than gasoline and assumed that it was temporary but this article suggests that it might be around for a while.

Because in my original post I mentioned that the lower than gas prices started in DVNP and continued at least to Lone Pine. That's a bit more than 200 acres could cover.

I don't know if they have a gas station, that is why I answered in the form of a question. There is a gas station up the road at Bishop with good prices on that reservation. So why the LOL?

Diesel has 15% more BTUs and unlike before the jet engine, there is not a glut of diesel, even in the summer.

Check my math...were paying $1.29 per liter today, and 3.79L per US gallon so that's $4.88 for a US gallon.....sigh!

I filled up today.......paid $2.57/gal using my 0.50/gal discount

Back in CA in 2006 when I bought the truck w/CTD gas was almost $3/gal and diesel was $2/80/gal.
Think that was last time I remember diesel lower then gas

But diesel is where it's at for towing.

It's obvious that stations near each other mirror the prices of the others. To fail to do so would mean the loss of business.

Gas in my area is 2.32 a gallon yet diesel by the interstate is 3.18 a gallon but 1.5 miles in town diesel is 3.08 a gallon and we have 6 stations and 4 sell diesel
