Personally I would now avoid Michelin...I have LTX M/S E series on Dodge dually and all six sidewalls are cracking...I was told that Michelin switched to a soy ingredient in their rubber compound (a 'green' thing) that's causing the issue...Dealer will happily pro-rate but at only pennies on the buck...I paid a premium for 6 Michelins but now wish I hadn't. JMO...

I'll X3 the Michelin LTX A/T2

I have 17" rims.

Changed out the OEM tires at 15K due to lack of traction in wet grass.
Got 60K out of first set of A/T2s towing 14K 5vr full time.
Now on 2nd set.......have 25K on them and very happy with them.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

What rim size are you needing? I can say that in 20" the goodyear Wrangler SRA tires are very good. They were original on my Silverado w/20" wheel option. I just replaced the originals after more than 84,000 miles with the same tires. Summer daily driving and towing performance is great. Winter the tires are OK, but Blizzaks are much better. The tires are quiet also.

I was also having problems finding replacements for my old BFG Rugged Trails mainly because they are 17" rims------I was very lucky to find brand new Firestones being taken off new trucks (to replace with bigger alloys and tyres (tires)----I got them VERY cheap because there is no demand for that size in the UK :B--------I wrecked one in Portugal and had to have one shipped from Germany---and pay the full price :(.
At the time we were living in a 5er and had nowhere to store any more new Firestones or the best of our 'old' tyres, that was a real shame!!
To be totally honest----I really miss the BFGs and don't think the Firestones will live as long as they did. The Firestones have gone from the very North to the very South of Europe (and more) and seem to be doing the job just fine.
My choice would still be BFG Rugged Trail (if I could get them in Europe----and afford them)

Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO Love 'em. Built like a brick !@#$ house, ride nice, good traction in all areas, not too loud, last forever, proven for many years, good price and look good.

Have a look at Michelin - LTX® A/T2...Tire Rack has them in E rated...Costco too. Very quiet...good wear. On sale if you buy a set.

Michelin LTX AT2s worked for me Great in snow and did well on a 2011 F350, crew, 8' bed over Mosquito Pass, CO. When They wore out I got the same. Sams had the best price installed.

I just put Cooper Mastercraft load range "E" tires on my truck for about $1k cash deal.

So did I but won't again. Good highway tire and wear well but absolutely useless in snow. I too am finding the 17" limiting my choices.

Living in the desert, snow is not much of a problem for me. However, I have to admit that these high pressure E's don't do well in the dirt. I have to run the darn things almost flat before they quit slipping. But I do have about 45K miles on them, and still have lots and lots of tread and when I pulled my TT with the quad in the back of the bed, I couldn't ask for a better set of tires.

One thing I have going against me is that I have 17" wheels. I'd like to buy the Toyo tires but TireRack indicates there aren't any 265/65R17 made in an E rating.

I've gone to 265/70R17 to get around this in the past. Still, there don't seem to be many E rated tires in my size.

I've got about 4,000 miles on Toyo AT II's.

Great tires so far. Smooth. Quiet. Good wet traction. Two thumbs up.

I saw from your other post that you like the Goodrich TA KO's. Me too. I ran these for ten years on two vehicles before the AT II's came out.

Wet traction is about the same. The Toyos are quieter. The TA KO's might have an edge in the snow. I can't say for sure since we had so little snow here this year. Good luck.

Are you looking for an All Terrain type? I am thinking my next tire might be the Nitto Terra Grappler since it comes in load index 126. My Cooper Discoverer ATP's have been good except they like to pick up small rocks and not let them go.

I think I'm looking for an AT type. But, now that I'm pretty much living in suburbia and only driving gravel road when the TC is on the truck, I wonder if I need the noise and wear of an AT tire. The truck is my daily driver and I use Blizzak's in the winter anyhow.
