tires overloaded?

recently bought a new TC and fully loaded, ready for travel, weighed it at a CAT scale. left me just a few #'s under what the tires are rated for. It rides good, no sway, no sag but being so close to max on the rear tires bothers me. last thing I need to do is blow a tire. Is this thing that bothers me worth looking into larger tires, wheels? As is, tires are new Michlean's and capable of 50/70 #'s more.
Thanks for your opinions.

I run just under Rear Tire MAX Load Ratings with tires at MAX COLD Psi.
Have done so for 12 yrs...7 yrs was FT traveling

What good is a rating if you can't load to that rating?
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Camper weight is all on 1 wheel? I dont know what would be considered normal weight transfer side to side or percentage of total weight seen by one side but I cant imagine rear axle weight (scaled) could be seen by one tire. IE if 3000# camper, 2800# on back axle- (just to generate a make believe number) if 75% could transfer to one tire that would be 2100#.
Curious what weigh rating is on tires.

More info might be helpful:
What kind of tires? What size tires? SRW(??)
I considered new tire & wheel combo until I dove into the number more closely.

Close to the max is ok as long as you donโ€™t plan to carry anything more or tow. If you feel uncomfortable, look for some different tires/wheels. You may not have to go larger ... just different.
