Totally Confused

I was checking my fuses today & noticed that the refrigerator has a 20 amp fuse in the 12 volt feed. I have a Norcold 2 way fridge so it doesn't have a 12 volt heater, the 12 volts only runs the circuit controls. The sticker that shows all the fuse sizes in the fuse box also lists the frig as having a 20 amp fuse. I checked the sticker on the frig & it shows the 12 volt amp draw as 1.2 amps. The installation manual says the maximum fuse size should be 6 amps.
So why do I have a 20 amp fuse????

..and they wire them all the same, regardless of which option it has.... but from my experience, a 3-way Fridge in an AF camper is a special order.

Battrey charger on the convertor is usually on the fridge circuit.

Fridge DC Circuit FUSE on circuit board will only be 3A........so 20A supply fuse is a NON-ISSUE

Could be 20A also used for 'other' components (feeder for water pump, possibly water heater)???

Prolly because most every AF camper has a 3 way fridge as they typically have a lot of amenities. Since you ordered yours, or bought one with a 2 way it was likely out of the norm when it was produced.
Won't hurt anything I'd guess as the wiring is probably the standard gauge to power the DC heater, but the most correct and conservative thing to do since you noticed it is replace with a 5amp fuse.

I would say, cost cutting. Manufacturer probably buys fuses in bulk, and they just buy 20s.
