Looking for a good place to spend Christmas, preferably south of the Ohio river and north of Florida.

A few years ago we stayed at Huntington Beach State park in South Carolina. It was 80 the day we arrived. The rest of the week it was 50's and 60's but sunny. They have nature walks or something in the lodge every day.You are just down the road from Murrel's Inlet where they have some nice restaurants like Drunken Jacks.

They all sound great. We just got back from pigeon forge, and we are going to be in Hurricane Mills koa at thanksgiving. Thereโ€™s a possibility that we will be going to Austin Tx for Christmas but are looking for a back up plan. Right now we are leaning towards either Branson or Chattanooga.

In 2018 the crime rate in Chattanooga was 2.2 times the national average. Makes Branson look even better!

In your camper? Do you have heated tanks?

Gatlinburg has average lows in the 20's at that time of year and, while slightly warmer, Williamsburg can drop to near those temps as well. If we were to travel at Christmas, we'd be apt to try to be a little further south along the lines of Charleston, Savannah, or other areas that are more solidly above freezing.

Depends what you want to do. Branson MO has great Christmas stuff going on. Silver Dollar City, our first class amusement park, does a great Christmas. Its worth checking out, RV parks are open also.

Pine Mountain Campground in Pine Mountain, GA and do the Callaway Gardens Christmas Driving Tour or they also have a tour. I did this a couple of years ago and it was great.

I just got an email from Pine Mountain on "their package" for Christmas.

Savannah Ga is gorgeous that time of year generally, It can get cold, but being on the coast, the odds are in your favor for mild weather. And If they hold it this year with Coronacrud they have a heckuva New Years street party. Several nice campgrounds in the area, and some historical sites to visit along with fascinating cemetaries containing historical stones dating back to the late 1700's.
If you get bored Charleston SC is only a little over an hour away for a side trip.
