Help me out hear. Trailer Village RV Park, 100 Trailer Village Rd, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023. visitgrandcanyon.com, (928) 638-1006
This is the RV park in the National park. Why wouldn't you stay there? The free shutles take you places you cn't drive in the park and they pick you up at the campground.
Grand Canyon Camper Village, 549 Camper Village Ln, Grand Canyon Village, AZ 86023 This is the RV campground in Tusayan on 64 before you get to the park. Is this the one you are asking about?
Bill

Yes Bill, That is the one I am talking about, THE one in the park is booked all except for 28ft or less and our Fifth wheel is 33 ft. This looked like the closest RV park to the Grand Canyon.

Ok, I haven't stayed there but it didn't look to bad when I drove through. I have stayed as far away as Williams because there were no openings anywhere.

If the reservation you made is for outside the park you're staying at CAMPER Village. The one inside the park is TRAILER Village.

If you can get a reservation at TRAILER Village in the park itself I think you would like it a lot better.

Here are reviews on both parks:

I just noticed on this review site that all the dry campgrounds (no hookups) in the area get much better reviews than those with hookups. (We've stayed at three of them - very nice)

Thank you, The camper village inside the park is booked and this is the closest we could get to the park.

๐Ÿ˜„ You'll be just fine but you are still are mixing up the two names. It's 'Camper Village' - the one you're staying.

Free shuttle buses will pick you up and drop you off right outside the entrance kiosk. They will take you pretty much anywhere you want to visit on the South Rim.

Grocery store is close by, and there is a bus stop there. It's close enough for a walk if you want some exercise. (Less than a mile round trip).

Spaces are on the small size and if it's crowded, your neighbors will only be 10 or 15 feet away. Picnic table and BBQ. No wood fires.

Full hook up sites. Slight slope on the site I was in so I needed some blocks to get level.

Don't leave your sewer hose hooked up unless you're actively using it. The ravens know that there will be food debris in the hose when you wash your dishes. They will peck holes in the hose and destroy it looking for food.

There's Grand Canyon CAMPER Village in Tusayan; not to be confused with TRAILER Village, which is inside GCNP. H E R E - Tusayan is a link that describes both. I think you're referring to CAMPER Village in Tusayan. Gets average ratings. We stayed in TRAILER Village in the park this past October, and were glad we chose that instead of CAMPER Village.

I'm not sure but I belive there was a thread not to long ago that it is now under new ownership that plans to replace it with a hotel so they are not taking very good care of it. You might want to do a search.
