National Parks Pass

I was wondering if it is worth buying 2 parks passes one for MH the other for the towed or just one, I know they are $80 apiece any help is welcome

We always attach the toad to the RV before entering, and then the one pass covers both as a single vehicle.

Funny side note - was in Hawaii last week, and my cousin wanted to go see Mt. Haleakala. I had forgotten it was a National Park until we got to the entrance gate. I sure was glad I had my annual pass in my wallet, rather than leaving it in the RV.

The Golden Age pass can be acquired at age 62. The Golden Access pass has no age stipulation. Anyone with a handicap tag or sticker can get the access card.

The National Parks pass reminds me of when it was called the Golden Eagle Pass, I purchased my first one in 1975, they told me about the Golden Age Pass then, I was thinking Wow, that is 39 plus years away, Now it is less than a Year and a half, Where did the time go? I buy a pass every year even though I usually don't use all of the Money I spent on it. My theory is, I don't mind supporting the National Parks.

BTW, if you live in or near Cincinnati, you can buy the NP Pass at the Wm. Howard Taft Nat. historic site on Auburn Ave. Just wake up the person at the desk. There's never a crowd. 🙂

Only need two if you plan on driving both vehicles into the park at the same time.

Even then, I would suggest attaching the toad, driving in as one, then separating inside the park.

Another thing to consider is you can upgrade your entrance fee (like Yellowstone) to an annual National Parks pass within 7 days, by paying the difference. Just save your entrance receipt and drop by an entrance booth, or even a visitor center.

Best to buy the pass at the gate of your first park of the year, rather than in advance since they are good for a year from date of purchase.

If timed right, it will be good for almost thirteen months, say if you buy it say the first of July, its good for the entire month of July the next year.

Only nine more annual passes until I get my lifetime pass at 62 🙂

Here's the information. If you're 62 or older, the pass is good for life and allows you and up to 3 others in your vehicle 15 yrs or older to enter with you.
The only place that's a little different is "Historic Jamestowne" vs. Jamestown Settlement. Both are worth seeing, but Jamestown Settlement is a re-creation and charges a separate fee, while Historic Jamestowne is the actual site where they landed and the Parks pass is good.
