Overnight along I-5 btwn Stockton and Bakersfield, CA

Need an overnighter, with or without hookups, that is NOT on dirt. Will be driving Thursday-Friday, weather shows probable rain. Every place I've read about (which there are few) are dirt sites. I do not want to deal with the mess of dirt and rain. (Santa Nella RV Park seems fine, but I would like to get farther south.)

Any ideas? If I can't find anything, I'll just make sure I get to Bakersfield. (I know Bakersfield is not on I-5...I plan to drive 46 over to 99.)

We like staying at the Santa Nella RV Park. In-n-Out is across the street.

Almond Tree RV Park is nice - about two hours south of Stockton near Harris Ranch.

Simple. 142 miles south of Stockton is Harris Ranch at Hwy 5 & 198. A lot of truckers and RV'ers park behind the Shell station but we park on the street on the south side of the station.

For several years when traveling north or south we always stop there and have dinner, then spend the night.

Have flown in there several times also.

Gee, pave all campgrounds? I go camping so I can walk on dirt. Sometimes that dirt is wet or dusty or wet then frozen and I need to take my shoes/boots off to enter the TT. And I love it.

The latest forecast has cut back on the chance of rain. But you are right that there is a lack of decent RV parks south of Stockton on I-5.

Why not just drive to Bakersfield...it's only about 240 miles.
