Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

Site 91 in South Marcum campground, Rend Lake, Benton, IL. This was an electric only site, but many of our neighbors had lakefront FHU. Bath houses were new in 2010, and are wonderful. On the end of the loop here, one building had four large, private toilet/shower areas.

Our picnic table off to the side. Very nice and shady. Notice we have company approaching...

Our view of the cove in the large COE lake

We had company ๐Ÿ™‚

A lot of space

Even extra space to park your truck ๐Ÿ™‚

Elk Meadow RV Park - Estes Park, Colorado

Looking at the rigs in the background, just off your slide, hope that's a storage area, cause they're to close to even open a door, much less put out an awning.:(

Horsetooth Falls - not a terribly difficult trail just west of the reservoir

Ahh, relaxing by the fire overlooking the reservoir

We got the pass that's good for the year and covers this as well as other great campgrounds in the county. A little more if you're not a resident, which we currently aren't but may become so, but still worth it.

cgaskins - thanks for the video! That was great! The movement of the camera made me more ill than watching the steep road.

LOL! Yeah, I cut out the part where the camera was dropped onto the floor of the truck....

On our way up to Colorado from Austin, we stayed and Caprock Canyon State Park and Palo Duro Canyon State Park. Both of them are great places but Palo Duro is by far the best destination. As usual, these great Texas State Parks were run by very nice staff and the facilities were all in perfect working order.

Here is a photo of our site at Caprock Canyon

Here is a photo of our site at Palo Duro Canyon

It is a steep descent down into Palo Duro. Definitely the most aggressive decline I have drive yet with the 5er. Here is a short video of the descent.
