Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

Lake Fausse Pointe State Park - Close to St. Martinville, LA. Nice park- avoid spot 20 if you have anything more than a 23 footer unless they cut down the tree right at the entrance. Great trail system.

Re: St. Rosa RV Resort

I just checked out their website. This place looks great!

It was very nice - lower numbered spots are on the water. The bridge to the gulf is about a half mile away - perfect to spend the morning or afternoon at the beach. There is a nice pool and when we were there they were expanding their facilities for more showers / bathrooms, etc. Plenty of restaurants / grocery stores in the vacinity.

This is another site at Double Lake National Recreation Area outside Coldspring, TX.

This is sites #34, and #35. It's a big "double" site, perfect for camping with friends. There are full hookups for both sites.

This picture was taken before our friends arrived. They pulled in forwards, so we could open up both awnings towards the center. This requires some extra electrical cord and water hose (sewer hose also, if you are staying long enough for that). Or you could back in the second RV in a more traditional set up.

It was a perfect arrangement. We had a big group of cyclists camping for the weekend, and these 2 sites became the social center. Everyone else was tent-camping, and just walked across the road where we were.

We go to Double Lake National Recreation Area, outside Coldspring, TX, a lot to mountain bike. There are also trailheads for the Lone Star Hiking Trail. There are tent sites, partial hook ups, full hook ups, and picnic area. And a lake of course. No concessions.

This is site #57. It's a double site, so #56 is right next door, but both sites have hookups.

This is the Lake Conroe KOA in Conroe, TX. The KOA is about a mile-ish west of the lake, but this campsite is very nice. Lots and lots of sites to choose from, activities for kids and adults, pool, ice cream social, typical KOA stuff.

This is site #150, which is on one of their small man-made lakes. The big gazebo behind the site hangs out over the lake, and it's a great place to picnic, play cards, etc.

what did you tow the fiver with? the nissan? is it a diesel? nice setup.

I know you guys will find it hard to believe, but yes towed with the Nissan, 2500cc turbo intercooled diesel. Get about 15 MPG (us gals), you can see another Nissan in background.

Man........you guys get all the neat cars/trucks over there.

we have a choise of a big cummins, big powerstroke, or big duramax, none will net half the unloaded MPG's your truck will get.

Dolan Lake in Hamilton County, Illinois. Also known as Hamilton County Fish and Wildlife Area (state park). This is site 34. The lakefront sites on the outer side are built up somewhat, making a decline to the firepit and picnic table, which I'm not real fond of, but it's a nice park with great a bathhouse and a restaurant across the lake. $20/night for electric.

This loop had 3 pull-throughs, and many sites are long enough for up to 30' trailer plus tow.
