RV Park Reviews??

Posters are still recommending RV Park Reviews as if nothing has changed. Compared to the original review site, the new site is vastly inferior. Slow loading with a lot of reviews missing. Is it just me or does everyone else think it is still as good as it was before? What happened?

The only thing I don't like about the new RV Park Reviews is that you have to navigate more than you had to in the previous version.

When you got to the list of all parks in a certain city, in that one view you were able to click on the link for their websites. Now, you have to go into the details for each campground to get their website link. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Changed my mind. Used the computer instead of phone and I like the new site.

I use trip advisor to make restaurant reviews I don't use it for campground reviews because I can never figger it out. The other thing about trip advisor is that I have two or three personas there as I forgot my password and they set up a new account every time and now they can't figger out how to find the old ones and put them together. I do use TA to find restaurants, but have found that Yelp is more user friendly.

Like the new format much better. Easier to zoom in on area that is being searched. Not that RVPR is without faults. One of our favourite places, Martinak SP, Denton, MD. is still amongst the missing. It was there before.

Maybe it is me but I just tried to find 6 different campgrounds on Trip Advisor and absolutely none of them were there.

What "Trip Advisor" is everyone mentioning? It sure isn't as good as RVParkReviews since I can't find a campground on it.

Like anything new, it took some getting used to, but I think the new site is much improved over the old version.

I have to think the OP hasn't learned how to use the site completely yet, as I have never seen the problems he has stated, it loads every bit as fast as the old site, and I don't know what reviews are missing, I have reviews I posted 7 years ago that are still there.
I, like most people didn't like it originally, but have gotten over that, I still use the site exclusively for reviews, other sites have their own problems, but that's for another thread.

If reviews submitted contain grammar like I have seen on this board, or base their rating on something beyond the campground's control, the reviews SHOULD be edited or rejected. Who wants to read that?

There are plenty of negative reviews on the site, so I don't buy they have some mysterious policy preventing negatives or promoting others.

Some people just don't like change. I nearly got lynched the time I suggested that we raise the price of hot dogs to .75 cents so we wouldn't loose money on them.

Do you still have hotdogs for 75 cents? ๐Ÿ˜›

Didn't Trip Adviser recently get hit for being paid to remove reviews?

Then again, read it somewhere in an article on the internet;, must be true!

Old or new format - it is still the best source of information out there. I just used it to determine what sites are best for us in one of Glacier National Parks. I am making reservations in a few weeks.

It is like Trip Advisor - some people are never happy with anything. Once you weed out the reviews with comments like "I rate the campground a 1 because they were mean to our fur baby" you are good. I have found some great campgrounds just reading new park reviews and plan trips around them.

I like the Information.

I have used rvparkreviews for years, and no better alternative.

It's their site, their format, I don't have a problem with it.

Adjust!

Simple, sites I don't like, I don't use!

For years on the rvparkreviews forums people have been asking for this and asking for that. So they put in a new site that added this and that. They are NOT going back to the old format.

Just like everyone else, when I first went to the old site, I had to learn where everything was. Same with the new site. Learned it and it is fine.
