Just upgraded my TV to a 2015 2500hd LTZ and would like to level it out. I have two options, I can go with the Cognito leveling kit or their 4 inch lift and not use the 1 inch rear blocks.

Has anyone here done either? If so how is the ride now compared to stock? Thanks.

Mine rides flat and the trailer suspension is stock.
The only issue I have is that the newer trucks have deeper beds and you can get the plastic railing cover scratched by the trailer if you turn really tight

Problem with the lift for me is towing a 5er. Just sitting stock the trailer rides nose high.

Have done both the leveling kit and the 4-6" lift on two different dually trucks- always Cognito. The lifted one is a much better ride hands down.
If you do the lift get a solid sway bar- worth it's weight in gold!
The leveling kit even with the uca's is a band aid in my opinion.

I went with kryptonite uca's to level my 05. They are just as good as cognito. Either uca will give to the ability to raise the front to level the truck because they both relocate the bump stop. That's what gives you the harsh ride when cranking the t-bars with the stock uca.

Here's the link.

That is a great deal for the Cognito/Fox shocks installed. I would do that deal as well.

I got quoted $950 installed for the Cognito/Fox leveling kit. I think that's what I'm going to go with. Along with 20x10 wheels and 285/55r20's. Would like a little bigger but also need to be able to tow a 5er, so it is what it is.

I ordered the 10800 GVW option on my 3500 and I don't see a need for airbags. I have a 13K excavator sitting on a 31' gooseneck equipment trailer (24K GVW)and sits almost level with considerable tongue weight on the trailer.

I did the Cognito kit on my 3500HD, I went with the shock extensions to use the Rancho shocks that it came with. I have some friends that did the Fox shocks but personally my arse is not so dialed in that I can tell the difference between the Fox and the Ranchos. I think the Cognito kit is excellent. I would not want the pickup raised any higher (as far as going with a full lift kit). It rides level and even with a heavy gooseneck load it stays pretty level. I turned the stock keys on my 2011 2500HD and I will never do that again. That is why I went with the Cognito set up this time. The ride is excellent and it looks excellent, I dare say OEM quality. The Cognito stage I bought was only like $750, the next stage up with the Fox shocks was $1100.

only 1100 with the fox shocks, that is a hell of deal!! i was looking to level mine and was told 3k for the UCA, keys and shocks, installed and aligned. just to get the fox 2.0 shock it about 550-600 for all 4

to the OP it all depends on your budget. there are awesome leveling kits out there. if you read around the duramax fourm there is a ton of info. congito is thought of as being the best. check out norcaltruck.com they have alot of different kits to level based on your budget. if i remember right fox made a shock that is just for the cognito kit.

That is way to much money. I bought the Cognito kit off of Norcal, I had a speed shop install it, $250 dollars and a 60 dollar front end alignment.

I have an '11 Dmax. Doesn't need levelling as my TH is only 19000lbs.
