Any Integrated Garage Fifth Wheels?

I am switching over to a toy hauler from the fifth wheel in my signature. I have a 15' toy so I have to go with integrated garages instead of separate garages. I don't mind this as the integrated garage units tend to be shorter and lighter than the separate garage units. I am also fine with not having slides.

I can find many bumper pull units that meet my needs, but don't see any fifth wheel integrated garage units. I am looking in the 32' range, 10-12k gross. I am all setup for a fifth wheel and I don't have any experience with bumper pull. After being spoiled by fifth wheel towing, I feel uneasy going to a bumper pull. Does anyone know of any new or used integrated garage fifth wheel designs? If it was something that was only made in the past, I could go with a used unit but would prefer new.

thanks very much for any ideas,
Fred

The name and floor plan are back built by Pacific Coach, I saw a 30' like mine and they're nice. A friend has another brand and its 30' open floor plan but can't remember the brand and it has a single slide for the couch; might crimp your toy hauling capacity if you're hauling a car/buggy.

The new genesis are getting extremely popular with the toyhauler crowd in California

They are more rare (fewer dealers) than the Eclipse, but I am VERY happy with my Genesis Supreme. For my taste I found the finishes and color schemes more to my liking than the Eclipse. Plus it seemed like it was priced lower. That being said my previous rig was a 2014 Eclipse bumper pull and we enjoyed it immensely, so I have nothing against the brand at all.

Depending on how wide it is you could go with the smallest one, the 28LE. It has 15'11" if you can fit between the cabinets and under the overhead storage.

That being said many of the open floor plans have movable captains chairs as part of the seating. Just make sure you can fit them in front of/on your toy or leave them at home. They are generally bulky.

Fred a short Toy Hauler 5er rare beast indeed. Most I've seen were still 35'+

However the Attitude 28SAG looks like it's up your ally.

+1. This is the same trailer I have and is just under 32' in length with a 11,900 GVWR. Can be had with or without a slideout in the living area. There is ~17' of storage from ramp to fridge and will take a 64" wide toy no problem even with the slideout version. If you need little more room there is its big brother the 32SAG. Same layout just 4' of extra garage area out back

2500 Grunt,

thanks, you are correct,

I will likely have to go with a 12.9K gross unit. The toy is 64" wide.

What is the width of your "15' toy"? Most TH's in your search category are going to go to about 12 to 12.5' of open garage space from the back ramp/door to the front kitchen cabinet. Unless your toy can squeeze into the kitchen area to get to 15' you are going to have a hard time finding something in the weight range that you mentioned. When I did my research before buying our TH the 28' advertised length TH units all seemed to fit into the 12.5' open garage space and all seemed to be at the same (pretty close) GVWR of 12-13k. The Attitude units mentioned above all had 12.5' of storage when we looked last year.

We had a Cyclone 2812 that was great. I think 2013 was the last year. Other than China tires it never gave any grief. I'd still own it but PPMS had a different plan.

Tough one there Fred. I wish I could help you.

But one note to add. I certainly understand you wanting to stick with a fifth wheel. But considering the truck you have and the amazing WD hitches that are on the market these days, don't feel uneasy going to a bumper pull unit. You will be surprised and I'm sure you'll adapt quickly to the change.

Just something to keep in mind in case you can't find what you're looking for in a fifth wheel.

I have also been looking at shorter 5th wheel toy haulers. KZ has a couple models that you may be interested in looking at.

Edit: looks like KZ only has one new model without a dedicated garage that may be too short for your needs.

thanks taken,

That RW 348 is nice, but I need something shorter and lighter.

The suggested Eclipse company has several under 32' and 12k gross in the Attitude, Stellar and Iconic models.

My general style is to get all over analytical about the build quality and materials. That is how I ended up with the all composite Evergreen EverLite with TPO roof, Dexter frame, etc. I am starting to get comfortable with the idea that if I want something rare like this, I have to take what I can get and get over it.

Has anybody on the east coast purchased an Eclipse product? Would be a shame if I had to go to Colorado 😉
