Best polish for gel cap and sides of 5th Wheel

I'd like to hear what's recommended for polishing my 5th wheel. I tried a spray application and liquid application, but the results were less than what I'd want. It still left streaks on the gel cap and the sides weren't as shiny as I'd expect.

What can you recommend? Thanks.

I only use NuFinish twice a year. Has always worked great for me and is easy to take off with microfiber towels.

Unless the RV is brand new, recommendations for oxidation removers is almost more important than what wax to use. I'm currently trying to get rid of some chalkiness and having a tough time. Where's the Karate Kid when you need him?

ReJex.... It's not a wax, it's a liquid that goes on and off like a liquid wax but much better life and shine. I've used many different waxes over the years and tried this two years ago. I'll never use wax again... This stuff is magic! Www.rejex.com for ordering and more info.

Having owned boats since 1981 I can't say that I have tried all of the waxes, but I have tried many.

Also a Mequires fan here. Also the Flagship. Only just finished giving the 5er its annual waxing yesterday. Of course it is forecasted to bucket down rain today & we have to move.

The flagship is not a cleaner wax so it will not remove stains etc. but it is a superior wax hence the need to wax only once a year. The price is also a little higher than most of the wax/protectant only products.

Another Rejex fan here... don't put it over wax... get the nose clean and then use the Rejex... bugs will come off with only water and a gentle rub with a soft brush.

I used Poli-glo on my fiver and won't go back to wax! It has a great cleaner that comes with the kit that took my fiberglass back to nearly new and the poli-glo made my 12 year old trailer look like new - literally. The RV on their website is not BS - it works just like they advertise.

Zep has a product that is the same as poli-glo but substantially cheaper. I can't find a link to that product, but a search will pop it up for you.

I removed the zep this spring and now have poli glo. I was getting a yellow look and now white again but for 3 years it did shine better than any wax I have tried. 2 to 3 wax applications a year gets old.

I ended up going with a sealer made by ZEP which is the floor polish, and, boy, am I glad I did! What a great result. My 5th wheel now looks brand-new and it was truly worth the effort. Since we've never waxed, no stripping needed and decided the sealer was the way to go.
FWIW, Zep floor polisher is sold at Home Depo for around 25 bucks and after 4 coats I didn't even use half of th jug.
Thanks, all, for the advise. This a great resource.

X2 on the Wash Wax All by Aero Cosmetics. The kit has a very well built extension handle--can do virtually the entire unit from the ground. The kit also has a degreaser that takes off bugs and black streaks. Have been using it now for 2 years. Absolutely no oxidation and good shiny appearance. I apply once at start of season then again before winterization.

As stated earlier, you need a good foundation to start with. If there is anything past minor oxidation a rotary buffer and wool pad are required. I used Duragloss 652 then used a coating of Duragloss 601/105. It gets rinsless washes with Duragloss 932 which has Aqua Wax. All available at duragloss.com. All Duaragloss products are sealants no carnuba.

There are lots of good waxes & sealers out in the market these days. Most are very easy to use. As a few have mentioned for a lasting shine preparation is everything. The best waxes & sealers are NOT cleaner waxes which do a good job of cleaning & removing light oxidation but do not leave a lasting shine like a dedicated wax or sealant.

I have used alot of different waxes and polish offer for RV's etc. What I have found that did the best was Mothers Wax - Reflections. Easy on and easy off. It left a shine on my full body paint Landmark that looked as good as it did when it was brand new.
