Had new tires put on today.
Replace the original Towmax ST235/80/16 with Michelin XPS Rib 235/85/16.

Hoping these tires last a long time.

The Michelins are a fine choice. The Bridgestone R250's I put on my new fifth wheel trailer are of comparable quality and slightly less expensive at around $200 each at Costco.

You picked a great tire, mine aged out and they still looked like new. Replaced them with the Duravis 250s and just as happy. Good luck.

Heard people say good things about Sailun S637s. Anyone have any experience/opinions about them?

OLD-BUSCUIT, I am always curious as to where people get their recommendations for removing tires due to age, especially when their post does not agree with the tire manufacturer's aging recommendation.
Care to share that with us?

Great choice any time you go with a all steel carcass commercial grade 56 lb LT tire vs a 38-40 lb any brand ST tire with those rounded flexy sidewalls.

Yup, our XPS ribs are 5 years old with about 50k on them and they still look like new. Time to start saving my beans to replace them in two years though.

Take a look at Bridgestone Duravis R250. About 50 each cheap and just as good or better. With 8 tires that is a 400 buck savings.

I put the same Ribs on 7 yrs and nearly 20,000 miles ago and they still look new. Will age out long before they wear out.

Pretty close to aging out now.

Tire MFG. might recommend 10 yrs but that is when used on cars/trucks.

Trailers 5-7 yrs due to sidewall stresses (maneuvering) and being stationary

I sold 4 of them at 6.5 years of use and 40K+ miles for 200 bucks on CL a few years ago. Chris
