Hello Everyone,

My Wife and I are lookig at a used 2007 Raptor 3110. I searched on this site and on the web but there doesnt see to any owner reviews of them just the normal specs. Does anyone own one? I see many raptors on the road and am currious if there are any known issues with them. The price and trade offer feel reasonable and I imagine this time of year dealers would want to make any inventory they can.

This one is pretty loaded up, Gen, 50a electric, Alpine 5.1 stereo. It looks like it was very well taken care of. The tires, fiberglass exterior, slideout seal and roof all look good. We could not find any evidence of a leak inside.

Thanks in advance
Chris

It sounds like tires are the biggest issue? What should I look for with the tires? Date code? MManufacturer?

We stayed in it Saturday. It got down to 7ยฐ F. We stayed warm and the floor felt warm (heated and enclosed underbelly), execpt for the slide out floor. That said we now need to refill the propane tanks and moved back into the house. Thermopane window would be nice.

Congrats on the new rig. We have the 3018 which is the same trailer without the slide and love it! I am sure you will enjoy yours as well.
After similar experiences as described above I put 6 new Maxxis tires on ours for insurance before we hit the road this past summer.
Good luck and enjoy!

Congradulations on your purchase. We bought a 2007 Raptor 299MP one year ago and used it all summer long this year. We love this 5er it fits are needs perfectly. Just one word of advice, on our first major trip of the summer we lost 3 tires. They looked good plenty of tread no dry rot, and checked tire pressure, they were however made in China "China bombs" as discussed on this website. When the tires blew it caused considerable damage to both sides of the trailer and since they blew at two different times it was two different claims and two deductables. Fortunatly just before the trip after reading about China Bombs on this site I lowered my deductable to $100. A lucky move on my part. I replaced them with tires made in the USA. and had no further problems.

We pulled the trigger and brought it home despite the less then favorable weather (Yes that is ice caked to the side of the truck and trailer). Cant wait to take it out.

And a shot of it after we pulled it out of the shop all shinned up. Since we all love pics on forums.

We came within inches of buying one before we got an unexpected larger tax refund a few years ago. So we went new 5er.

Being a triple-axle TT, its gonna be a little on the heavy side. The 5.4L will definitely know its back there. ๐Ÿ™‚

The garage is only 10'. If that works for you, great.

Just out of curiosity, exactly how much weight are you pulling with the 5.4?

Not sure if this is to me or another poster but my current TT is about 9k loaded and is very tall, nearly 13 ft with a flat nose. I'm hoping the raptor, with its lower front end and sloped roof will break the wind easier then my current trailer. I'm approved for financing but the whole deal isn't final until I hook to it and see how it pulls. I think it will be OK, the 93 tune from mike at 5star pulls hard.I don't travel very far anyway.

Most Raptors of that era all came loaded about the same, very few options available as I recall. Check the date codes of the tires to see how old they are, what tires are on it?

I dont know what tires are on it. They are not dry rotted and have good tread on them.

I think the alpine stereo and gen were optional from the specs ive looked at.

We lost 3 tires on one trip that had 98% tread left and looked perfect. The tires were 9 or 10 years old. Replaced them with similar new china bombs and did not have another problem. The current trailer has been converted to new 17.5 goodyears. I think the older Raptors have less problems then the later models
