Should I add auto level?

Have a new Attitude ordered and I am torn about adding the auto leveling option. I am hearing they have some problems with the system being voltage sensitive and its expensive. Anyone have any experience with these on a toyhauler? Attitude is using a electric system, not hydraulic. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you will ever regret that purchase! If its Lippert 6 point leveling system make sure the dealer installing it has installed a few of them and has positive feed back. I've read on here that some authorized dealers have screwed it up and had to have it shipped back to Lippert to fix.

I added this to mine after I purchased the TY:

Power Leveling System...

Got it on ebay for $1600 delivered. It is really great. While it is not automatic, it is push button leveling. Using the remote, you lower the jacks and level.

The system is very well thought out and an easy install.

Even says it is strong enuff to lift the entire TY for tire changes and such.

Well, the stability is what I've wondered about. There have been quite a few posters on here who have commented that their levelers do not make the system as solid as they would like. One poster commented that they are called levelers and not stabilizers for a reason. One guy said he had to add expandable chocks and JT Strongarms to make his usit solid, even though he had the 6-point leveling system.

A secondary benefit, though I don't have it, is stability; with 4-6 jacks down the coach must be very stable. I added the strong arms to my landing gear/stabilizers and the trailer still moves around quite a bit.

Our Momentum 380TH has it and I'll never own another rig without it. So easy to put chocks in, unhitch and push a button. I go to doing other things while its leveling itself. Ours is a hydraulic system, so not sure of the cost or performance differences in electric styles.

YES YES YES.

there is an expense but it is wonderful!

the only problem that may come up is when you are in cold weather, it is slow to respond. other than that...get it.

I believe you will find the people who have it love it and wouldn't have an RV without it. I doubt if anybody would pass it up if it was free.

Depends on your amount of disposable income. If you got lots, go for it. Me? I don't so I'd give it a pass. But that's me.

My new Grand Design Momentum 380TH came with auto level.

Man; it's pretty cool to stand back and watch it level itself.
